hilarious, but no digg. - armbar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+60I've always found this funny--especially for when manga dorks wear the dragon shirts with the vague characters. Back in high school, someone wore a shirt that translated to the equivalent of "prostitute". I guess that's the folks in the sweatshops getting back at us stupid Americans.
- Silencer7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+52My navy friend said he met a girl who had the word "HARDER" tattooed in big capital letters across her lower back.
He asked why, of course. Her response:
"I got tired of having to ask all the time." - davidirock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+46@madmathmatician
This is the first time I've seen a story linked right to the printable version of the page for easy reading. Thanks. - maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -5/+49Tramp stamp.. rofl, its so true.
- zeldafan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+40I've actually seen TWO (sorry, have to point that out) people in my school with "I love hentai" shirts, one in english, and one in japanese, and no, I wasn't one of them.
- nogami, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31"tramp stamp"... What a PERFECT way of describing it...
I can't stand those stupid lower-back tattoos on girls. The fad came and went...
(though it does give me a good excuse to admire a nice bottom - "just looking at your tattoo")
N. - TheReport, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27It offically not a tramp stamp until she wears the low cut jeans that show off the butt floss riding up her crack.
- CompIsMyRx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26I have to wonder if in Asia, people are getting tattoos that say "Suck my Back" and "I love Goats" in English...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22"I can't stand those stupid lower-back tattoos on girls. The fad came and went..."
ok...
"(though it does give me a good excuse to admire a nice bottom - "just looking at your tattoo")"
so which is it then?! personally, the tramp stamp is a fairly accurate way of determining whether or not the girl you're talking to at a party will easily sleep with you. works 9 times out of 10. - stou, on 10/12/2007, -31/+51No digg for being on Fox News
- Arnold22, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Here is some poorly writen english stuff asians wear
http://www.engrish.com/ - UNL1M1T3D, on 10/12/2007, -12/+31Someone should report you as lame.
- boredzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18"Slut stamp" doesn't rhyme.
- Baloo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16I live in Japan.. and I have seen many strange english t-shirts.... (ok they aren't tattoos but it shows that what you think is cool isn't necessarily so)
the best example on a girls t-shirt
on the front "Take me home and ***** me now!!"
on the back "Fertilise my eggs!"
it was a bright pink t-shirt and the letters were all floral, hippie style font. - Trjn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17@Zeldafan:

This shirt perhaps?
I've always thought that if I get a tattoo, I'd get one in Chinese to parody this, something incredibly stupid like "I'm trying to be deep and spiritual" or some obviously mangled proverb.
Of course, I plan to learn to speak Mandarin first. - diafel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Seeing a tramp stamp is a major turnoff. At least get something more original than a butterfly, you unique snowflake, you.
- crashingechelon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Yeah, when I took Japanese in high school my teacher commented on that. Most asian characters people in the US get on shirts or tattoos are nonsense and some dont really mean anything, that they just get them since they look cool. He also said that they are the same way in Japan, they'll wear tshirts that have english words together and phrases that make no sense, but they'll just get it cause it looks cool.
- boredzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Yeah. The article mentions that.
- engalicorn, on 10/12/2007, -19/+32Bonus for the Fox News flame! Good on you... way to be original! I like that!
- UNL1M1T3D, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Classy. My girlfriend and her sister were going to get tramp stamps to signify their bond as sisters. Just so happens they got into a huge fight and aren't talking anymore. Now Joe is happy.
- sgbooth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12People do stupid *****, become born again virgins 10 years later, regret all the stupid ***** they did, and try to force their children to not do the same *****. Recursively loop with kids.
- TA_Superman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Yeah almost always it guarantees they are either easy or willing to try at least. I love those things they are like bullseyes
- hundrednorth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Brings to mind when Britney Spears had that Japanese character tattoo removed from near her crotch. She thought it said "mysterious" but it turns out it meant something closer to "weird" instead.
- fragileabsolute, on 10/12/2007, -17/+27
I do however like how all of fox news attacks youth culture (no matter how stupid it actually is). It seems like placating to the administration isn't enough for them. - helfire, on 10/12/2007, -10/+20I stopped listening to anything they said after they an anchor told white people to have more babies or they might become the minority.
- TheReport, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11"He also said that they are the same way in Japan, they'll wear tshirts that have english words together and phrases that make no sense, but they'll just get it cause it looks cool."
All your base are belong to us!!! - ESTEBEVERDE, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13For those little hotties who have this problem I have a way of rug burning these off.
Sure it will take several treatments, but it's all good. ;-) - kokuou, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Why does everyone say "romaNji"?
It's romaji.
No 'N'. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10That's one that people tend to get right (at least when it stands alone)... it's the same in Chinese and Japanese: 愛
- millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I've been finding this funny for years, especially since I can read Chinese and Japanese characters. I use to love arguing with these people, telling ME what their tattoo said (because it's what the tattooist TOLD THEM it said...)
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Young people do stupid *****, regret it a decade later; news at 11.
- minusxthexbear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7i guess tattoo removal is where the money is going to be. Time to start learning!
- theoallardyce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6For a laugh, go around telling people that their tattoos are wrong! you don't even have to know the language just lie and say "er your tattoo says you're a whore, I know because I had the same one". For extra points, refer them to a removal clinic and get a commission deal! Remember, its not immoral to ***** with these people, they don't count.
- akcoder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Zug.com has an article where some guy pulled that prank on a co-worker. The guy who pulled it had the gal believing her tat meant "bean curd" :)
http://www.zug.com/pranks/tattoo/ - JackHallows, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Funny, I keep telling my aunt that the Chinese symbol for "love" tattoed on her lower back probably isn't what it means...
- zeldafan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Funny as hell, I guess this is one of many places where being a geek comes in handy, you know some of the language.
It doesn't take much to find something really, just find an English --> language dictionary, find the Romanji ( or western text version of your language) and do a Google image search.
Water ---dictionary---> Mizu ---google---> http://www5.big.or.jp/~otake/hey/kanji/gifmoji/f2/mizu.gif - Flyerman85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6what came to mind for me was the Dead Like Me episode, where Mason called it the international sign for aim here.
- sneeka2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Well, I do have a T-shirt that says IDIOT^2 in Japanese. Though I knew full well what it meant when I bought it. I haven't worn it in Japan in public yet, but my Japanese friends think it's hilarious...
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7yes but it doesnt work as well as rhyming
- Aflat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Funny as "tramp stamp" may be, you better be sure not to get her pregnant. Getting one of those tatoos in that area means the woman can't get an epidural, or a spinal when she is giving birth. They are afraid of pushing the tatoo ink into the spinal cord, so they don't usually do it. Woops!
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6
9/10 girls at parties with lower back tattoos are not "easy".
Depends on their age. Under 21, they're easy. Over 21, they're getting tired of being used for sex so now they're looking for a "relationship."
Over 30, they're married, bored with their husbands (or divorced) and want sex again. - Silencer7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I should post up the pic of the baby-size t-shirt with "***** Gasbag" written above a picture of muppets on meth that I found a few weeks ago.
- RobotCitizen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Your tattoo says "beef with broccoli".
- PaulOwen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That settles it - adamnikyo's girlfriend has a tramp stamp.
- NineTailedFox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5One of the best things about speaking east Asian languages is that if someone has one of these tattoos, you can pull a face when they tell you what they think it means, and when they panic and start asking why you're looking like that, you can tell them that it's too late now.
- daonlyfreez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4In Germany they call them 'tramp stamps' Arschgeweih, which would translate to ass antler
- albel65, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Godda love the oblivious.
- NineTailedFox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Nice. Where are you?
It's nowhere near as bad here as in China, though there they tend to be just gibberish. I saw one with a picture of a grinning little kid and the word "SODAMI" once, which was a little disturbing. - itsnotvalid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah that one is correct one for water... but bear in mind you should find someone you trust to verify if that is the correct words. I remembered once that my friend's sister had a tattoo of Chinese character "love" on it, but have it mirrored horizontally and, that looks stupid when I read that.
