What the Cable and Telco companies really want is the "Cable TV" business model. With that, customers (like you and me) pick and choose packages. With those packages, we would only get access to certain websites (and "services"). For example, you want Google, Yahoo!, and MSN, then you get "package A" and pay so much a month; you want Instant Messaging, then you get "Package B" too, and pay so much extra a month; you want other websites, IRC, or anything else, well "tough", you can't have them.
What they are planning on doing is such crap!!!
