- digitalgopher, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11@bloodjunkie - hmmm... I find it very interesting that at the time that i'm writing this, jmccrea, erchn, and a couple of others have only dugg one story ever, and it's this one. plus this seems to be the last story that a BUNCH of the first 20 or so users have dugg... interesting since this story was posted 13 hours ago. seems really bizarre.
what're you trying to pull, man? are you using a bunch of your accounts to promote some of your stories to the front page. if so, please stop doing that. if not, accept my apologies... it just seems real strange is all i'm saying. - kderby2000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Plaxo sucks. Every time I ever received an invitation from some former co-worker or something, trying to "update their address book" with my info, I suddenly received a not-so-coincidental influx of spam a day or two later.
- amanzi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Yeah - I hated this *feature* too and complained about it bitterly. Plaxo have just recently updated their system so that when someone updates their address book, you get prompted whether you want to send everyone an update. At least they are learning...
- kowcop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6we have been blocking Plaxo since the day it started. I don't trust them . There is no such thing as a free lunch, and in my opinion it is scary how many personal contact details they have 'collected'.. and for what?. They say they don't send SPAM, but what do they call the emails they spew out to people's contacts to update their details?
I put Plaxo in the same class as Incredimail. Not pure evil just yet, but they have great potential to be.
I think people would be crazy not only to give Plaxo their own contact details, but also the contact details of all your friends/colleagues etc. - purpleplatyduck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4that's ironic, since I greatly preferred HipCal over Plaxo (if you don't even have an attractive UI, what are the chances anyone will even give your product a chance?). Maybe Plaxo will take a lesson from their newly acquired toy, and code for aesthetics and usability at the same time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6They are still a company producing nothing that I'll ever have anything to do with afetr being bitten a few years ago by their crap.
'Once Bitten; Twice Shy' as the old saying goes. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6People that send Plaxo requests to me get deleted from my address book.
- lameinternet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4too much coincidence. some of those diggers joined today.
- pinsomniac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Ah, so that's why HipCal changed their name from MyPIMP.
- Change, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And of course you don't enter the contact details of your friends/colleagues into Gmail, Hotmail and the like either...
- amanzi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Good stuff! Plaxo are starting to reform themselves as a not-so-evil company.
- markjen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Plaxo blog entry available at http://blog.plaxo.com/archives/2006/04/question_what_d.html

- amanzi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2@digitalgopher - can't speak for the others, but this was the last story I dugg because I don't digg that many.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Plaxo is a piece of *****.
- npiv, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3wow, unoriginal and at a price.
Now that takes balls, I wish em all the best ;) - BloodJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1digitalgopher, i'll accept your apologies as what you have noticed is purely coincidental. i only have one account on digg and I don't work for techcrunch :)
Cheers. - stisev, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2LOL @ npiv.
That's gotta be the funniest thing I've seen this week
