Boy does that remind me of eBay. - azerk1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20I doubt this will work as they reserve the right to cancel orders anytime they want for any reason prior to shipping. That said I still bought one and am hoping for the best.

nice demonstration.. - ramsinks.com, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12They will probably keep our money - Store Credit!
Just to get back at 300 of us. - sovereign3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11To the poster:
If you were really able to find a $20 Plasma tv, you were probably better off not posting it on Digg. What might have been a folly that you, alone, could have benefitted from, will be a free-for-all for every Digg user and Etronics will probably be forced to cancel all orders made as a result. - monsieurgrand02, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10If I found a deal like this, there's no chance in hell I'd be sharing it with all of you guys. At least not until I got my $20 TV! :P

-T - DannySpace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Just because etronics.com is a "respectable" site doesn't mean SQUAT! Scams are everywhere. Case and Point:
3dkingdom.org is one of those "respectable" sites and behold... one of their "secret" urls has a php attachment that sends you to:
"Oh My, what's this?"
http://www.3dkingdom.org/modules/PNphpBB2/attach_mod/.us/logz.php
Yep, it directs you to a fake paypal site that requests your info so they can stick it in deep! Hmmmmm, wonder who's making coin off of this....?
Hey, here's an idea. Wouldn't it be great to shut this site down with a "digg effect"???? Well, since they are just out to screw people.... Oh, but then again, they are supposed to be a "respectable" site.
- TheTusch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I had this happen once with the verizon wireless website. Here is a link.

I didn't buy one and I regret not doing it. People actually got the phones for 10% of cost. - loneBoat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Hey wow, I just got mine. They EMAILED it to me! This company is amazing.
- diggenerate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6the best thing to do is go to a local store that price matches online stores and then stick it em' ...
- lukas88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6hey guys, post to digg if you actually get the 20 dollar tv, ok? I wanna see if it turns out for you. I hope it does :)
- catfacem3n, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I just called them and they told me it was an error and no one is gonna get that price. They also said their phones have been ringing non-stop.
- jpeckinp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The funny looks would be worth it for $20 plasma tv.
- Tuna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Samsung HP-R4252 42" High Definition Plasma TV 1 $19.99

Hey what the hell, I'll give it a try. But that's a lot to pay for shipping a 19.99 item. HAHA - ke5crz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Well their bandwidth costs just shot trough the roof!
- Biker803, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'd laugh if for some odd reason this was for real. Just imagine thousands of diggers getting $20 plasma TVs. Christmas just came early.
- redrighthand, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Ha Ha we killed E tronics!
Swarm Swarm Swarm I say!!!! - freeshri, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Who is this "Noone" you speak of?
- diafel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I suspect this thread will be used by Slashdotters to settle the "Digg vs Slashdot: Which is Better?" debate.
- joshrt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That would be hilarious.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Quoting most substantial part (for those who didn't want to read the whole thing):
--------
"In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error, Etronics reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for products listed at the incorrect price. Etronics shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such order whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. Good times.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I just called them and they told me it was an error and no one is gonna get that price. They also said their phones have been ringing non-stop.
- milaub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I don't believe anyone will get this price, but I ALSO don't believe you called them and they answered at this time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5A lot more than 20,000 people simultaneously visit google anyways.
Then again, 99.9% of statistics are made up. - xlivevilx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4eh, he may get lucky....
i once found, on my favorite paintball site, a new item added. It had been added, and the description posted, but a price not put up, so it was marked $0.00. it was posted on a forum, and i ordered one. i payed 8.26 shipping as my total cost for a $160 part. I immediately received an order confirmation, and a few hours later a shipping receipt. When i called in about half way through waiting for shipping, the girl i talked to said that almost 2000 were ordered, and 6 were shipped before they caught it. i guess i got lucky
i would not be surprised if the first few ppl who ordered got them. the whole system is done by computer, and they don't hardly even touch ppl - Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Well, I'm sure more than 20,000 people simultaneously visit Google all of the time.
- wearescience, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Actually, its a $19.99 TV
- thewise1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6This comment is basically pre-ordained to be dugg negatively, but seriously, if anyone thinks they are going to get one, especially after someone stupidly spilled the beans to several high traffic internet sites instead of just keeping it to themselves and having a slight shot at it, they are insane.
I'm sure the company isn't going to notice their site going down, and 60 thousand orders for a $20 plasma TV.
Good luck! - enderclone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Well seeing as it's now on the front page of Digg it's going to explode. Hey at least the poster of this story will get his first front page story. Way to go dude!!!
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Haha, that's what I'm thinking is going to happen with this. I don't order one, becuase I think it's going to be a waste of time. And in a few days I'll start seeing blog posts on digg about how people actually got their $19 plasma TVs!
- laelfrog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4why not, If its a hoax, they will have to cancel the order, I didn't agree to paying $1999 for it
- apr0nadick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Got most of the way thru the checkout, when it wanted my password for my BofA Visa verification. Checked on the refering help screens and linked to the reference pages when Netscape popped up its security warning that the site was "thought" to be a scam site. I may trust etronics.com but dont know about their checkout.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3yeah haha, this guy completely screwed himself.
- Fresno30, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3So I screwed, up. Like you never make mistakes! It's a jpg now...
- diggenerate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3well atleast we got to toast yet another server Yay!
- jonnyeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3But this is such a huge difference in price, that the company would go broke if they sold even a fraction of the orders at $19.99
I doubt the company would be forced to go out of business, especially if they can prove that it was an accident. If it wasn't, and was made to get people to check out the site, then they deserve whatever happens to them. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10lmfao, thats right guys! enter your credit cards!
I will laugh my ass off when it turns out 400 digg users were victims of identity theft.

- diafel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I agree, screenshots stand up next to DNA testing from a legal standpoint. You pretty much can't lose, and they will HAVE TO give it to you for that price! Thanks for your legal expertise "daniel591992"

- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3wow, you are retarded.
edit: simultaneous post with tobey.. - joshrt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The people who ordered are so screwed.
