TPB forever! - SpookyApplePie, on 04/18/2008, -10/+71***** THE RIAA!!!
***** THE MPAA!!!
curse you, im usually the first to say it - 1view, on 04/18/2008, -1/+62When this trial gets going we need to be contacting the man who's making the decisions and express our disgust for the mockery of justice & trampling of democracy. TPB follows Swedish law and if the people of Sweden are unhappy with their laws, they should be changed through a democratic process. Their laws should not be able to be twisted and bought by crooked foreign corporations!
- smacksaw, on 04/18/2008, -3/+52Sadly in the USA that would mean jack ***** as we are now accustomed to this sort of corruption, but I hope that in Sweden that ***** won't fly. These things are a fight not only to preserve freedom but common-sense.
- Redzin, on 04/18/2008, -4/+48First off all, they are in fact not doing anything illegal in sweden. It's a swedish website, they follow swedish law, and so far they havn't broken any swedish laws.
Secondly, as oldhick said, there's a huge difference between "Illegal" and "Wrong". Even if what they do is illegal (which it isn't...) it would still not be wrong, what-so-ever.
Go watch "Steal This Film" (part 1 and 2) and "Good Copy Bad Copy". Both are free and gives good insight into why it is retarded to think the Pirate Bay is doing something wrong. - hexydes, on 04/18/2008, -1/+24Actually, I posted a video I made in college on TPB and a few other sites the other day. Something like 600-700 people downloaded it in total.
Feel free to continue to "pirate" my movie. I'm happy that people enjoy it enough to do so. =)

- HanSolo69, on 04/18/2008, -1/+20Who goes from Warner Bros. to being a police officer? That's like changing your major from english to engineering.
- Skootles, on 04/18/2008, -3/+20When will the music industry learn...
- seventoes, on 04/18/2008, -2/+17***** THE RIAA/MPAA/etc
- zeabu, on 04/18/2008, -2/+16That's quite a conflict of interests. If I'm not mistaking the case will be with a jury, can someone from the North confirm that?
If it's with a jury, the IFPI doesn't stand a chance.
That in combination with the resurrection of Demonoid, makes me sitting here with a big grin :) - WomensUnderwear, on 04/18/2008, -0/+13ICE-T
- oldhick, on 04/18/2008, -7/+19I think you need to distinguish between illegal and wrong. While I certainly wouldn't argue that the free dissemination and sharing of media is legal in this country, I would certainly argue that it isn't wrong. Check out "Steal this Film Part 1 and 2" for a great insight into information sharing.
- LingNoi, on 04/18/2008, -2/+11If it's illegal why are they doing illegal things to try and shut it down? Printing books used to be illegal in 1800s too and many people were arrested for doing it.

You'll see history is repeating itself. - DocHoliday22, on 04/18/2008, -0/+9... to make better music... Yes I agree, most of this POP stuff on TV is *****...

BEING A PIRATE IS ALRIGHT WITH ME! - phoomp, on 04/18/2008, -1/+8Content "owners" need to seriously reconsider their distribution and compensation models. They could shut down all current forms of P2P, but something else even more difficult to shut down will appear. We probably wouldn't have Bittorrent if they hadn't shut down Napster.
- lacronicus, on 04/19/2008, -0/+6DO WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE!
- mytibt, on 04/18/2008, -2/+8In related news, Keyzer fired for being a dumbass
- Myonosken, on 04/18/2008, -1/+6Yeah you are not joking when you say you may be wrong. The last word of your comment sums up how bat ***** the idea is.
- Firgof, on 04/18/2008, -0/+5a) Digg is not your personal advertisement service until you pay for it.
b) Sweden (sweden, sweden, sweden, sweden, sweden, sweden, sweden, sweden, sweden).
c) Dugg down.
d) Get off Digg if you're going to be a bot.
e) All of the above.
Answer: E - Parkinsons, on 04/18/2008, -0/+5The Wealth of Nations, On Liberty, and The Communist Manifesto are all books. Books = Entertainment . We are sharing our culture with others and they want it to stop so they can turn a profit.
- SniperGX1, on 04/18/2008, -4/+8They don't pirate anything, Bit torrent works without the tracker needing to hold one bit of copyrighted material. They are hosing a tracker for bit torrent, it's what the users decide to share that's illegal. But even so, TBP doesn't hold any of that material themselves.
- ECas123, on 04/19/2008, -0/+4HYPNO-TOAD....
- Nevarius, on 04/18/2008, -1/+4Business as usual, hell its common for industry to hire congress men/women after they leave office when they are supportive of the bills that benefit their industry. So it doesn't surprise me that their trying to stack the deck.
- fandyboy, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3Dugg for the Team America reference. Tim Robbins is a *****.
- logiktrip, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3And Bush is bat *****.
- bluesatin, on 04/19/2008, -0/+3Peerguardian is widely believed to essentially do absolutely nothing to your chances of being 'caught' filesharing.
- phoomp, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3... that I might listen to their content, when they make content worth listening to.
- GIACOMOSAN, on 04/18/2008, -3/+6If you can't beat them, join them. Does it really take this long to figure out?
- andymci, on 04/19/2008, -1/+4I've never been able to understand the "turning a profit makes you evil" concept.

- heystoopid, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Not to whip dogs and cats , and have the gall to call it new music !
- mooseofshadows, on 04/19/2008, -0/+2Only ninja would stand a chance.
- cliffski, on 04/19/2008, -0/+2apparently if you write a song and make money digg kiddies think you are evil. if you just steal someone elses song and make money from ads, you are somehow a ***** hero. just shows how brain dead the digg kiddies are...
- Risingashes, on 04/19/2008, -1/+3They're making money by providing a service that the backwards minded TV studios and movie studios are refusing to provide.
Lower costs = lower price. Convenience is to be treasured not hampered. When big business wakes up people will reward them. - Parkinsons, on 04/18/2008, -3/+5First off they not not have any copyrighted material. Secondly what they are doing is not against Swedish law.
- pardonmedoug, on 04/18/2008, -3/+5Reading that much into names, and reflexively taking the side of big media, eh? Corporate culture must love you. Thanks for being a good consumer!
- inactive, on 04/19/2008, -1/+2i love TPB , i see nothing wrong with making money, and providing freedom. If they make money, then it is fully transparent to me (adblock)
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+2Agreed; I don't know why people think the TPB are a bunch of martyrs and rebels...they're greedy ***** just like the RIAA
- ManoWar, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1Am I wrong till the EU declares its king? The National Socialist party is alive and well in Europe socialism has crept all over slowly but surely. Is the EU not designed to rule over all over Europe then impose its will like the colonial days. Does Europe not still think it owns Africa? It’s the Europeans that are so fascinated kings and queens.
- aserer511, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1viva la bay!
- phoomp, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1Oh, you misunderstand. I don't find *anything* produced by the RIAA to be worth even downloading for free.
- acidmutant, on 04/19/2008, -1/+2pirate bay... may the force be with you....

- cliffski, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1you moron. just go to the websites of the companies that sell their ads and pretend to buy space. trust me, that figure is conservative. These swedish ***** make milklions from stealing other peoples hard work. the dipsticks cant even code a decent web search.
