- CVL4317, on 05/24/2009, -3/+149much harder than trying to find seeds for old torrents.
- cuppyCake, on 05/24/2009, -2/+73Here's an idea... why doesn't the court system check out who these judges are before assigning them? Maybe find out if there's any damning link to pro-copyright organizations first? Or is it the job of the defense in Sweden?
I swear, they're doing a worse job vetting these judges than the McCain campaign did vetting Sarah Palin. - KRG12345, on 05/24/2009, -4/+62Damn, is there anyone that isn't biased on this subject?
sigh.. I guess we'll find one eventually - athrasher, on 05/24/2009, -3/+49We apologise again for the fault in the subtitles. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked.
- stealthspc, on 05/24/2009, -1/+30We aren't going to ever click your links retard. It's really annoying so why don't you just stop while you're ahead?
- fightingforair, on 05/24/2009, -2/+26That is a relevant analogy. *claps with delight*
- inactive, on 05/24/2009, -0/+18But not biased against getting paid bribes..?? Despite the fact they stole nothing troll.
- leetdood, on 05/24/2009, -0/+17except they don't actually do anything illegal in their country.
- inactive, on 05/24/2009, -3/+20Greedy media corporations that invade our privacy and take away our ownership and privacy rights SUCK..
- jwkpiano1, on 05/24/2009, -1/+16It's "A moose bit my sister once..." actually.
- inactive, on 05/24/2009, -2/+16Comprehension skills, you lack them.. the judge is biased because he belonged to a pro-copyright movement, a movement that seeks to undermine the current copyright law by removing fair-use and actual ownership of the devices and content you buy.. So please go back to your RIAA tower of stolen songs and greed.
- insidius, on 05/24/2009, -1/+15>>Wait a minute, I thought these guys had no chance of losing. I remember diggs on here about how inept the >>prosecution was and how the evidence pointed nowhere.
Way to miss the whole point of the articles that are swimming in abundance on this issue. The whole point is there is no way on this green earth with the way the case was presented that they could of lost. Well save for the whole judge essentially being on the payroll thing.
Oops. - inactive, on 05/24/2009, -1/+14Report spammers:
http://digg.com/contact/ - Travelsonic, on 05/24/2009, -0/+13No, they want an UNBIASED judge, which means they favor / are a party for NEITHER side.
What part of that is hard to understand? - exscape, on 05/24/2009, -0/+13No, one that is *neutral*. One that is biased *towards* TPB would be just as bad, since the whole deal could happen all over again, just the other way around.
- Travelsonic, on 05/24/2009, -1/+13Justice is supposed to be served fairly. If we have judges judging one trial / case while working with an organization that would fight the defendant otherwise, then it wouldn't be fair because the bias is obvious.
- localzuk, on 05/24/2009, -0/+11Which, given current hard drive space increases, should be in about 2 years time at most...

- Kuci06, on 05/24/2009, -0/+9Why dont they use google?
Maybe it will find one >.> - eleete, on 05/24/2009, -0/+9Just what would you do if someone sent you a takedown notice from another country when your country had no such laws ? The DMCA is in the US only. You're welcome for the geography lesson.

- Travelsonic, on 05/24/2009, -0/+7Pot meeting the kettle, unreg?
Kirado was responding to the BS claim that the outcry of "judge bias" being that that they supported the law - ambiguous statement to begin with - with the reason for the cry for a fair judge:
THE LAST JUDGE WAS BIASED - AFFILIATED WITH ANTI-PIRACY GROUP(S)
how hard to understand is that? - osok, on 05/24/2009, -0/+7yarr.. they blow.. orver thar.. yarr..
- theonlywizdum, on 05/24/2009, -1/+7But they are referring to strong bias. Ya know, like being a card carrying member of the prosecution's club.
- inactive, on 05/24/2009, -1/+7Be careful how you respond to spammers though, I had my account from 2006 deleted last week from responding perhaps a bit harshly to someone who posted a list of spam links, then after that was deleted other people reported me and my account was removed. Upon contacting digg about what had happened, they didn't want to enable my account again anyway, and now I have to type in a captcha every time I make a damn comment. Surely after this many posts they can realise i'm not a computor!
/end rant! - kevro, on 05/24/2009, -2/+8He IS the law!
- DaNuKaSAN, on 05/24/2009, -1/+7Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti...
- Travelsonic, on 05/24/2009, -2/+7Funny unreg, since he never made any arguments for piracy in his post.... or does any post against the RIAA/MPAA = pro piracy in a fallacy based world of yours I don't know about?
- jamesmcginnis, on 05/24/2009, -1/+6Search really is everywhere
- Culyt, on 05/24/2009, -0/+5I'm already working on it, think they can remain open a few more hundred years or so?
Really a community organized distributed download might succeed. - inactive, on 05/24/2009, -1/+6Money makes the world go around.. the world go around.
- buddamus, on 05/24/2009, -3/+8Time to call Judge Dread
- cyphin6, on 05/24/2009, -2/+7Well the piratebay is aiding piracy hard to find a judge that will not rule in accordance with the law
- benitojuarez, on 05/24/2009, -0/+5sorry i havent seen holy grail in about 15 years.
- lylemackinnon, on 05/24/2009, -2/+6Artists don't make a living like that. Most of them make very very little money that way, The record companies, who usually own the rights to the songs are the ones making the money. The artists make money when they are out putting on shows, traveling around on tour and selling merchandise. TV networks are starting to see the light, and offering what they have to the public online. If record companies want to stay in business they should start embracing file sharing, not trying to bury it. At this point there is very little that can be done to stop p2p. Once the record companies realize this and start to work with p2p instead of against it things should work out fine.
- Shogi, on 05/25/2009, -0/+4it's Dredd.
- inactive, on 05/24/2009, -3/+7LOL they will try to find it until no judge left!
- IamNomad, on 05/24/2009, -1/+5Dugg for Cabaret reference.
- turnuon, on 05/24/2009, -0/+4Wtf are you talking about. There is no logic in your entire article. Where do you find the proof to support your statement of artists don't make a living like that? If they don't make enough or not satisfied with their income, go ahead and publish your stuff on the internet and forget about the big corporates. Piracy will still exist. Embracing p2p says nothing of stopping piracy and I don't know how fine is that.
Unless you are suggesting a music version of Hulu which can make artists money if the advertising implementation is done right, then that is something we can embrace. But forcing artists to do tours, which should be a choice, because you think they should not be paid if they are only distributing songs online is ridiculous. - inactive, on 05/24/2009, -0/+4What's your source on this?
- Travelsonic, on 05/24/2009, -0/+4Indeed, which is not the focus of this debate.
- cliffski, on 05/24/2009, -0/+4just like napster and oink.... wait a minute!
- zeabu, on 05/24/2009, -1/+4Ok, but as a judge you have the obligation to try.
- JustinHopewell, on 05/24/2009, -0/+3What I'm impressed about is that these biased judges are actually being removed or considered for removal. I'm not sure these guys would share the same kind of treatment in the U.S.
- Kuci06, on 05/24/2009, -5/+8Cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M. get the money, dolla dolla bill yall
