- Dropscience, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I kno..this is AMAZING, i thought i loved igoogle b4, i was gonna pos this story but u got to it...digg is on of the sites on my homepage
- jgee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Uhh anyone else notice something disturbingly odd, under the fun section, Ask Yahoo is listed, don't get me wrong but isnt that their competition.
- qodsec, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0and bookmarks and lots of more stuff
- geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah it's acting pretty buggy in Firefox for me as well. Thanks sych0 for the tip though. All this refresh nonsense... I tell ya!
- Protoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well this one made it to frontpage :P It happens...BTW, Google is now perfect :D
- caldroun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like the personalized home page, but I am not too sure about the news reader. I think that i will stick with bloglines for that. I may stick a one off feed on there though. Don't get me wrong, I like the personalized home page.
- yakk0dotorg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is sweet. I typed in memphis and got a list of a lot of local blogs I read. It doesn't work so well for 2 word topics, but single words work great.
- anorris, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It does for me, TetrisKid
- Brutal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here's hoping they'll include weather forecasts for non-US cities soon..
- aten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome".
- Dropscience, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am using SafarFox Xpanded
- psyonide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is awesome! Google is officially the first personalized homepage that I've ever used and decided to keep as my personal start page.
- nikolas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What theme is dropscience using for Firefox?
- CompIsMyRx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now you can add DiggNation to your homepage.
- jefflundberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Microsoft had better catch up with their http://start.com/myw3b/ project if they expect to capitalize on this space. Google is definitely winning the innovation war on the web.
- Refusedb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no!!! I posted it first =(
but this one gets front page =( - Steaminx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is rad.
- farkninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like how start.com looks better than the Google interface, but Google is known for its simplicity.
- TetrisKid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont think it works correctly in FireFox yet...
- aten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0but how i dont get it!
- almostmanda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0jgee, why is that disturbing? Google is trying to get converts from My Yahoo with this page, and some of them won't switch without familiar Yahoo features. It's nice that Google is acknowledging that they have competitors, and their users may use both Google AND Yahoo from time to time.
- sahaskatta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it works in FF, but its a little buggy so just set it up and add what you want in IE and then it works fine for viewing in FireFox!!!
- nthitz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Anybody got an idea on how often it refreshes the RSS feeds?"
Not quick enough it seems. Looking at http://www.digg.com and looking at http://www.google.com/ig give me different articles on digg. So its close to perfect, but more updates would be nice - Wi1d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0About time. :s Thanks for the tip. ;P
- Dycacian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is flat out freaking awsome!!!!
- Ryokurin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good that the non loading is happening to everyone. I thought I broke it by adding too many digg links.
- TKDWILSON, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't get Google personalized page working at all now. It just stopped. Will not load at all. Really strange.
ERic Wilson - Protoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LOL yea google will find some way to innovate it even more...And judging by the comments, I guess the idea is perfect, not the script
- r00t3d0ut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm using Firefox and am having a bear of a time making it work. I tried the "refresh" idea posted earlier but it isn't working correctly. Google needs to fix this.
- dolphumous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just found this accidentally while adding content to my google homepage and it works perfectly. This will save me time each day going to 5 or 6 sites to check up on news, deals and articles. Works great. Using Firefox 1.0.6 too.
- julan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0finally.. woohoo
- almostmanda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it works, but is spotty in Firefox. it's snappy in IE, though. i edited everything there and just reloaded it in FF. i'm sure google will make it smoother soon.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anybody got an idea on how often it refreshes the RSS feeds? I'd like to use it because it offers gmail integration and a few other things that the script I made a while back doesn't do, but I'd like to know that it updates every hour or something.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0w00t
- Twelve-60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^ lol dude, i can garentee they will find some way to make it even more perfect :P
- andyatkinson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I see some future marketing potential for less savvy users as a way to view all of "your friends' blogs" (Blogger blogs that is--since this script also supports Atom).
http://andyatkinson.net/personalize-your-google-homepage - Elxx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't add anything in Firefox here. This personalized page is probably the buggiest beta thing Google has ever done. Until they actually make it WORK, this is completely useless.
- ericpp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its about freakin time. Yahoo has had this for awhile, except that yahoo sucks.
- farkninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If only it had Google search instead of MSN and had gmail support.
- Twelve-60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0woot!
www.twelve-60.com/images/S2googleS2.jpg
awsome.....! - Twelve-60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0eek..
www.twelve-60.com/images/S2googleS2.jpg - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Woohoo.. I wanted this for a long time, but I don't use google.com anymore since http://goovanced.blogspot.com
- lastnode, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm having problems as well, with Firefox on Win32. This needs to be fixed up soon. But yeah, way to go google! :)
- dvd14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does anyone know what language/script Google uses to develop the interface for Personalized Google? I really like the slide out "Add Content" tab, and the drag-and-drop functionality of the panes.
- Twelve-60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wtf.. how'd you get yours to link =/
- Lynn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^ I agree. http://www.start.com/myw3b/ is nice.
