- lsrccrd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4well looks like blogging just became more financially sound for the less experienced writers out there looking to write about random subjects. I for one am an aspiring blogger and it's a great opportunity for me to get started and yes some motivation to start blogging as well. If you're interested in getting some extra cash this is something you want to do and get yourself into!
- crashutah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4$700 later...I'd say I like it.
- thepope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I don't think you can say that this isn't going to be something big.
- brettbum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3$350 later . I like it too.
@ lsrccrd: It gives experienced writers new to the medium of blogging the incentive to follow through as well.
From a business planning perspective, there is revenue on the front end through PPC and there is revenue on the back end through Adsense and other sponsors. For the established sites the PPC and other sponsors pay well enough that the front end money looks small.
However for those of us getting started its a great way to ramp up. - colleenc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3$824 here. Me likey.
- walterk29, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just a note: This digg has appeared as a paid offer ($12) on PayPerPost.
Not to digg it (PayPerPost != Calcanis), just an opinion. - morriwi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oh yeah...Dugg
- morriwi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think this article makes me a revolutionary!
- MichaelJReyes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Great article.
- iwishiknew123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2$540 here, I couldn't be happier. My place of employment has advertised on it, too :)
- thepope, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2In all fairness, the article did not require the bloggers to digg it. It was up to the blogger.
Of course the intention is to get diggs, but it was not manditory and did not make the blogger go against what he/she thought was right. - idano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is taken the stain off of my wife staying home with our kids. She has only been doing paid posts for a week and has already made $200. I post every few days and am up to $250. An extra $500-$1000 a month for a family of 5 with one income is a big thing. My wife works on posts when she has the time during the day and if she doesn't get to it - no big deal.
What other type of job could you do that with? - jason78, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Get paid to blog?!? Make MONEY from home?!? This equals GENIUS!!! I'm there.
- danrua, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks everyone for the diggs! Nice to hear I captured a sentiment that rings true.
walterk: Although I didn't post that PPP opportunity I'm having a blast watching the experiment in real time. As a further note, it's worth understanding that the PPP opportunity provided the following topic: "Check out this Digg by a fellow PayPerPoster. What do you think about what Dan has to say? If you dig it digg it." The tone (positive or negative) was left up to the blogger. Digging it and leaving all these positive comments were not a requirement for payment, yet people are doing it. That's the beauty of the platform when used creatively, it provides topics of conversation and allows bloggers to run with it!
Viva la revolucion! - DaSnipe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great idea since you make your advertisers care when you make it personal, blogs are a great way to reach people informally and you can't go wrong when you pay someone to talk about something , especially something they're interested in. I've done my fair share and I'm loving it, great to review great products, and it makes me more interested in blogging, since I gotta think of things to write about and more people will read it. Win-Win for all in my books

I wrote in some pretty nice points about how it is helpful to advertisers and the blogosphere is like dominos and it could start a chain reaction! - murphman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And to back that up there have only been 38 diggs on this and we have had over 70 people post. The post did not require a digg. PayPerPost is about choice.
My question is what if all of the money that bloggers earned went to charity instead of the bloggers themselves? How would you feel about that? - murphman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's plenty more where that came from : ) - Ted
- colleenc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I did an offer about Nutrisystem this week on my 3Day blog and dissed it - hate the product. I didn't have to be fake at all in order to earn that $4!
- murphman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Jade,
Thank you for clearing up that misconception. People have made all sorts of assumptions about the service without ever trying it for themselves because the think they understand it when they really don't. There is true freedom in PayPerPost. Blog about what you want, when you want, how you want to. We don't tell people what to write. It's up to the blogger to determine which opportunity is right for them.
-Ted - johndlynn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I couldn't agree more completely. It is perfect for stay at home moms to be able to STAY Home. A few blog posts during nap time is a great supplemental income.
- joshuajudd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I created the video used on this post! http://juddconnection.blogspot.com/2006/07/my-payperpost-video-testimonial.html
I never expected to see it circulating around the web! - bulletz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0must add my voice to the many others. i love PPP and i wouldnt leave it for anything. it's the most reliable and full of awesome bloggers. making money doesnt hurt either ;) I am a stay at home mom who homeschools. definitely helping me make my household run more smoothly. only been blogging there about a month and made over $200.
- FadedJade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I really want to reiterate that payperpost doesn't always make users blog "positively" about something. A lot of the oppertunities I've taken have been neutral! It also really annoys me that they think people are blogging without letting their readers know that they're getting paid to talk about certain things. I know that I, and all of my friends who've now signed up, started with a post to all our "friends" that we were gonna try the payperpost thing and we all tag our payperpost entries so that people know that's what it is. I also don't know anyone who's currently blogging much about stuff they really don't know about. I know obviously most of you here reading this know what I mean, but it's just really been bugging me to get that out there. I've even been targeted in comments on my own blog by people who are against payperpost!
- SylvanArrow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a good opportunity for non-niche, general bloggers whose sites wouldn't do well with Adsense or affiliate programs. For advertisers, you get to pick your anchor text, so it's nice for SEO purposes.
- ahermitt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Finally a site that lets you do what you do and make a few dollars too. I digg it!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm gonna add my voice to this.... not quite sure about this specific post / opportunity but in general the PPP concept is mind-blowing. I also am very selective over which opportunties I take since i dont want my blog to be a crappy ad site... but i've earned over $50 in a couple of weeks with very little effort...
Nice job guys. - nextspielberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This guy is the guy that introduced me to payperpost. I'll have to thank him for that. He and I are in agreement that this site is going to grow numerously in the next year. It’s a great concept for a site and I looking forward to watching it develop.
- chryscross, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Personally, I love PayPerPost. I am fairly picky about the oppurtunities I take, but so far I have made $340. I am a stay at home mom, with three kids ages 7, 5 and 3 - and the money came in handy when all three have their birthdays within a 2 week period this month, lol.
I also have to say - some of the assignments have shown me great deals and ideas that my readers can benefit from. For example, there was an assignment a while back for Rentalo - which offers very good prices on short term rentals: like an apartment in the French Riveria for only $37/month! That is way less then a hotel, and could save someone a ton of money on their dream honeymoon: and since one of my blogs is about saving money on weddings/honeymoons (http://budgetdreamweddings.com/weddingplanning) - it is something I would have blogged about anyway had I known about it! The same goes with my mom's blog (http://twomomsinablog.com) - the business and product resources that I have posted are all things that I would have posted anyway.
Are there bloggers out there posting crap because they want the money? I am sure their are a few: but readers are not dumb and will see right though that. - sydelct, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Geez, these guys do pay and I know cause I've been paid. A great program to your blog's battery of money making weapons!
- gregmondro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0The simple fact of the matter is that if you participate in the PPP program, you don't have to make paid posts about anything you don't want to.
