PLEASE HELP : IXWebhosting shut down customer sites AGAIN without warning.
forums.applenova.com — My web hosts shut me down again, without warning, and without any justification. As of now all my businesses and email have been offline for over 5 hours and they are unable to even get someone to call me to explain why.

- scratt, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2Please Digg this as this is not the first time this company has done this to me or other clients.
Check Google and you'll see this incident is not uncommon.
It's time we did something to make companies like this accountable for their actions.
Thanks for any help.
scratt - scratt, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2As a friend just pointed out.. Not only have they cut our high traffic site, which has a 10 year history on the internet, they have also stuck their own adverts on the holding page so they can earn revenue from us while they illegally cut our sites off. Is this the behavior of a responsible host?
- addakorn, on 11/07/2007, -5/+1First off, starting the conversation with "or I am going to sue you" is usually not a good way to start a conversation.
If I were the CSR I would have accidentally deleted your entire account, you sir are an ass-hat.
If you have 15 businesses and this is so very important why;
Are you with a company that has done this before?
Do you not have a fail safe redundant plan?
Or are we just talking about blogs with adsense ads? - scratt, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3Well thank god you are not a CSR. When you have been on the phone for several hours already, and already responded to tickets, and had nothing back from your host then I think tempers run high. But thanks for your comments.. I see you are unable to start a conversation without insulting someone either. Ass-hat indeed.
The CSRs you refer to don't even have the authority to wipe their nose without getting permission from someone else.
This is something I have learned over a long and enforced lock in with IXWebhosting, and is often why they are so frustrating to deal with.. To be honest I suspect that they are human beings one level above a bot, and probably based in outer-Mongolia anyway.
Many moons ago I bought some domain names through this host, and even though I think it is possible to move them away, I have never been able to find anyone with more than 2 brain cells to argue the case for me being able to transfer them away.. - goofygarber, on 11/08/2007, -1/+2Whether or not they're in the right, you came off as an asshat and a child. You threatened to sue them and "put on digg" in the same sentence? Guess what, nobody gives a *****. Buried because you're pathetic.
- scratt, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Ooooooooo.
- spamhub, on 07/15/2008, -0/+0IX is SUCK, my sites are all hacked ~~~ many TMP directories created with advertising contents... the servers were being used for send spam...
Tried caht with LiveChat, and been suggested to open Trouble Ticket. TT opened bu no response for 10 hours, tried LiveChat again and suggest to wait ONE day as this is how long they normally deal with TTs.... What the FuxK.
They said they will RESTORE my SITES within 24 hours. BUT I also need to know why and how this has happened, The LiveChat guy told me that MY MYSQL SERVER HAS HARDWARE PROBLEM. What a PROFESSIONAL treating ALL CUSTOMERS as IDIOT.- ardathksheyna, on 07/22/2008, -0/+0I'm also with IXWebhosting (for the moment) and I can say that they seriously do suck big-time. At least I know now that I'm not the only one who has had that problem with someone adding TMP directories containing adverts for god-who-knows-what.
I gave up on their tech support after the first time my site was hacked; should've packed up then. Definitely avoid IXWebhosting. They were alright the first six months I had them, but after that, they went downhill rather quickly. I'm in the process of changing web hosts right now.
