God, the blogspam is getting old: "It's fun to look at." Thanks, that enriches my experience tremendously. - Rosamilia, on 10/11/2007, -1/+109It's missing the rare-earth pornographic sites
- mrpink.137, on 10/11/2007, -11/+100Why is Yahoo #1?
When was this made...1998? - KennMac, on 10/11/2007, -7/+62it's = it is
- stevenmu, on 10/11/2007, -2/+46"Oh look, here's something I found on another blog, that was taken from somewhere else too"
Interesting pic, but buried as blog spam - Starskey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+42Shouldn't YouTube be under Videos?
- joshuatree, on 10/11/2007, -4/+43Digg is classified under it's Latin name, Gg. I think that is Titanium.
- corevette, on 10/11/2007, -2/+40BS: http://www.wellingtongrey.net/miscellanea/archive/2007-06-23--periodic-table-of-the-internet.html
- SaxxonPike, on 10/11/2007, -0/+35Thanks for the link. Less fat.
- LavaHot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32Wait, why is excite on the periodic table of elements? Is that because it has a brief half-life?
- Computer_Kid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19But notice how it was double blog spam this time
- heatman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19I think it's cause most people who use Yahoo haven't changed their homepage since 1998
- hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16i usually check the comments first ..if a link isnt worth following someone will usually say (and why)
- its saved me a lot of wasted journeys - binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -1/+13I can't believe goatse and meatspin aren't on there!!
- Sparkster185, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Not to mention the picture in the blogspam is too small to even read.
- finista, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Someone's acting awfully Aluminum.
- LandStander, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Ooo I can't wait to see why your so tired! I still dugg you down. This isn't your own personal message board or blog, we don't give a ***** about your personal life, most of us won't even see you explain.
- Catchwa, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10As if it's not bad enough that it's blatant blogspam, this story was submitted, by Wellington Grey himself no more, 24 days ago!

buried - LaughingDjinn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Probably porn sites, this table was "clean"
- MrSunshine, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10There's a good reason it's left out.
- DASH, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9That is Digg.com's rank...
- gutistg, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Wow, I never knew that the periodic table was grouped in order of noobishness. I always just assumed it had something to do with atomic number.
- SteelFrog, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8DA used to be cool. Now it's been invaded by Emos and their crappy drawings of furries and badly done japanese characters.
- riklomas, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Plus, it's all based on domain, Google uses various different domains across the world (e.g. google.co.uk) where as Yahoo uses subdomains (uk.yahoo.com), so Yahoo's sites get counted as one.
- DarKnight90, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7google.co.uk
uk.yahoo.com
Googles sites are split yahoos arn't. - vandy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7ahem, i believe we are missing a key element of the interwebs.
dvorak dot org slash blog - Beaupedia, on 09/28/2008, -1/+8No TWiT in the Podcast section? What's up with that?
- techmonkey4u, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Thank you for contributing to the conversation. The average IQ of the Internet just went down a little.
- ChuqAU, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Not to mention, what are the sites ranked #4, #5, and #8, and why aren't they there?
- THE4IRON, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6IE sucks eggs that's why.
- ladyarcher85, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Digg is 24, not bad!
- SteelFrog, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Dude, quit spamming your ***** videos in every comment. Seriously.
- johnjreiser, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5It'll be great to see how many of them have a short half-life. Looks to me like many of those sites are going to burn out and disappear from our minds in < 5 years.
- abandonedhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Neither is Goatse.
- Eccohawk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Because according to Alexa.com, the internet ranking "authority", Yahoo! is number 1. Alexa, IIRC, only measures traffic data from visitors using IE, though that may have changed in recent months. It's very likely this table was built off of that data.
- gutistg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Shut the ***** up.
- Inorix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Nice concept, I'll steal the idea and modify to my own needs as a home page.
- TruckStuff, on 10/11/2007, -9/+13How does Firefox get its own "element," at the top of the browser column no less, but IE, Safari and Opera don't? Buried as lame...
- bradh05, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Under the Podcast Colum: WHERE THE HELL IS THIS WEEK IN TECH OR THE ENTIRE TWIT NETWORK.!!!1
- elsJake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4hmmm...never really thought about that.. good point lad!
- MyNameIsJoe, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Because Yahoo! is the most visited site on the web. Google might be the most used search engine, but Yahoo! gets more visitors because of all the other services they offer.
- cartwheels, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Rule 1.
- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Ahahaha. You know why, inferior Earth human.
- greystar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4This is so weak. I love HomestarRunner as much (or more) than the next guy, but thinking that it belongs on that table is indicative of how redonkulous that periodic table knockoff really is. The Periodic Table represents the elements that make up (create) everything else - while Yahoo and Google and eBay are certainly core Net items that generated a lot of other items, NYTimes and CNN are nothing more than everyday news sites - and not particularly innovative.
Buried for being one more person's attempt to monetize their blog. (Ooooooo.....now i'm pissed cuz they made me say "monetize their blog". Grrrrrrrr.........) - Jugalator, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Those would be appropriate for the porn sites. :-p
- isuisorisuaint, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2i would like to have this as a dynamic desktop background.
- tech42er, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Well, Mendeleev was a 1337 haxx0r.
- cartwheels, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Rule 1.
- insomniac8400, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2They aren't all websites. Firefox is on there as a product.
- tech42er, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2They're site rankings. Many more people visit www.microsoft.com than www.ubuntu.com.
