sounds familiar... - yourfavweapn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5eh..my eyes hurt
- AmishSteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Cool new feature for a great aggregator.
- whackjob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is so seriously cool. I was hoping/wishing/wanting O.S. to add a "Live bookmark"/RSS feed functionality right into their site for some time... it's too bad they don't have Live Bookmarks ready for their other, individuated sites (web 2.0, digg, etc.) yet too. Although they should in short order.
Good job O.S.! Now just follow it up by adding the same functionality (embedded, ready-to-go Live bookmarks, rss feeds) to/throughout the rest of your site. I love the ability to open new stories in tabs without even having to click each of them once. I just hit "Open in tabs" and it's all done for me, I can go on surfing...
I also like it how it is not a looooong, neverending feed like Digg and some other sites are. I like how Original Signal's default feed length is only 10-11 articles (like TechCrunch) and not zillions of articles long (like Digg). - foxymcfox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ZE GOGGLES, ZEY DO NUSSING!
- DopeWeasel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Ugly assed hot-pink straight from the 80s!
- JDOG, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Nice.
- jnorris441, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It deserves to be mentioned again, choosing to call your aggregator Original Signal is hugely ironic.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2if i have to read aggregator one more time...
- foxymcfox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm more concerned with their highly aliased, and very cliched, favicon. A website as slick as this needs an equally slick favicon.
- JDOG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think a lot of you guys are missing the point. It's not a Digg replacement or competitor, it's more of a TechMeme meets SpotPlex that adds value to the site beyond a "most clicked stories" listing.
- emehrkay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I wonder why they took away the video section. You can still get to it though - video.originalsignal.com
- nirav72, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3interesting concept...but whats up with the bright pink colors for the headers and text?
- palmer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Whatever. Yet another concerted spamming effort. And what a surprise, what shows up on the front page of that site? Twitter. Not to mention the serious use of the unspeakably lame term "Web 2.0".
Digg is just being buried under spam.
Enjoy your dollars-for-clicks, lamers. - nirav72, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Oh boy..I just got dugged down because I made a comment about the bright pink color scheme. So I guess orginal signal site owners can't handle constructive criticism.
- kwimia, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Amazing. Sweet, dugg it.
- adam.skinner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Um.... http://feeds.feedburner.com/originalsignal/buzz ?
- GioSico, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0HTTP://DIGG.ORIGINALSIGNAL.COM rocks. I have not looked at digg.com for over a year. I created this account just to post this comment and digg this article. Its about time someone posted (again?) about OS. Its a great site. If you don't like the pink just skip to the digg sub-domain. Nice work.
- atelkin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I was used with the old one...
