- disla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great site. One of my favorite instructors is Azrael.
Free registration is required to listen to the mp3 clips, which isn't that bad. - markbaltes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The majority of the lessons are only available to "High Bandwidth Subscribers" which costs $5 per month.
- megatoast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Powertabs = no good. Get Guitar Pro 4. www.mysongbook.com for GP4 files.
- generic119, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You guys ever tried power tabs?
I heard it's easier. - pillfred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah I played violin too that's about all remember about it, lol. Anyhow cool site much appreciated.
- shawgo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I might do this. I wish they would make something like this for the vialin, also. I miss playing the violin at school.
- Jibberish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0$5 a month, beats the $20 a lesson twice a week I use to pay. I just about supported him through college with what he was charging me; incredible teacher and musician though.
- binnis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone know an equivalent for the bass
- AHIGHERGOD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes. Bass lessons would be nice.
- evotom, on 04/21/2009, -0/+0This one is good as well, it focuses more on songs: http://www.theguitarlesson.com
- afslip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hate online lessons, for me nothing beats having the teacher right next to you. Of course I got 15 years experience in guitar, so I dont really need this. But for others its a great site to learn from.
- brewthatistr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.ibreathemusic.com/ is pretty awesome too. The focus is on lessons though. I don't think there are many (any?) mp3 downloads.
- jervana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You know, I used to like Guitar Tricks before they did the whole re-design, and started charging for content.
I prefer downloading sound clips, but I can't anymore without shelling out money.
It is, however, a huge site and very helpful. I've learned a good deal from them. - binarystar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pretty nice design.
- dewey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0$5 a month is cheaper than any guitar instructor you'll ever find.
Online tutorials can be very good, but nothing replaces having someone physically there, instructing you. Use this to supplement lessons to get the most out of your practice time. - mattza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0you found me out, I was trying to see if it what time I posted a digg would matter. obviously it does. I thought this site was good too glad to see it getting dugg
- furrypigs44, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey, if you want a simple guitar lesson that will get you going in a new, quick perspective, http://www24.brinkster.com/furrypigs/Guitar.asp - pretty good
- Smoktiludy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^^
lol that's too funny... - lydon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.digg.com/links/Online_Guitar_Lessons
funny how a dupe submitted by the same person 2 days after they submitted the first one can get 306 more diggs than the original.
Great digg though... - tlink211, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I discovered this site last night and shelled out the five bucks, seems worthwhile to me. I haven't played out in years so I joined a local country band, just to see if I could still do it and of course because playing out is a hoot no matter what. I need a nice dose of "Twang"...NOW! Guitar Tricks has some. I use Cool Edit to slow down and loop the licks but Windows Media Player will do a pretty good job of playing at half speed.
- guitarfish, on 02/08/2008, -0/+0Here is a good site for guitar downloads - http://www.amazinglicks.com/Guitar-Downloads.php
- DarrylJoyner, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0Seems like there are many online programs doing the music lessons for less than school or instructors.
- robertsuther, on 04/08/2009, -0/+0Guitar tricks is pretty cool, just read a full review at http://www.guitarcoursesreview.net
- petestv, on 02/20/2009, -0/+0I like the lessons, founde some at http://www.bigguitarshop.com/blog/
- brlamc, on 12/30/2008, -0/+0I was a member for a while it is a pretty good site for lessons.
- AUGuitar, on 11/16/2008, -0/+0check out Scotty West's Video (DVD) Guitar Lessons.
http://www.absolutelyunderstandguitar.com/ - motionblur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I learned from guitar mags in the early 1990s and can play Eruption AND understand the theory behind it. Thank you Guitar World and Guitar for the Practicing Musician.
