- rifter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hopefully this isn't a case of Fox buying names, information, etc. There is a huge base here for possible marketability. This would be horrible.
The servers should be upgraded and nothing more. I see this as buying user information rather than a large community of networked friends. I don't see how any good can come of this, all the while Tom has made a crap load of money I would guess.
I just hope no sort of charges are ever implemented. - recover82, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i'd rather have a site that crashes everyday instead of knowing he was at the helm of the ship.
- Crashmaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Oh goodie...the conservatives are trying to get the emo kids on their side...
- tophfisher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*****.
- tanxadillo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So that's where they get their sources...
- kirk06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Murdoch: The face of the devil on Earth.
I shall remove my myspace account straight away. - cheeseonstuf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0everyone is complaining about myspace's servers...
does ANYONE remember friendster? THAT was bad. myspace is nothing. alot more successful because of it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Prepare for those whiny ass emo kids to slowly be converted into idiot neocons with no room for logic, science, or critical thinking.
USA FIND THE HEAD USA FIND THE HEAD. Oh well myspace sucks anyway. - wildkarde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0'...for $580 million in cash..."
That's a lot of cash. - tekk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder how rich everyone's friend (Tom) must be?
- xtremdav45, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0maybe now Murdoch can buy some new servers for myspace. how about ones that dont crash every day.
- volcompimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*****... so my myspace is now Murdoch's space? I hate that *****
- Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0switch to msn space
- ZicklePop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great, conserative republicans only. x.x Thanks alot Fox.
- krone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So ***** Right Wing loonie Rupert Murdoch (an Austrelian) buys a US internet company to exploit while sending money to the Nazi republicans who can't find the Bill Of Rights. Time to go to Canada.
Bad News. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow. uh, time to cancel that ***** account.
- struggles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yet another reason to dislike MySpace.
- ajb2015, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hate corporations, they own EVERYTHING. If there is a good idea, the corporation buys it; not that myspace was a good idea.
- jks52086, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Calm down people, it's really not that big of a deal. Someone made a lot of money off of this, kudos to them - now you guys try to do something so you can make money. Unless you're all socialists and don't believe in that sort of thing, which it sounds like.
- zoltan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol emo kids hahah so true
- bill.clark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They can have all the whiny ass "nobody loves me" emo kids.
- SilentSpyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder if the people on MySpace know about this. I'm sure a lot of them will stop using it if they knew.
- tekk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tom doesn't own Intermix Media, does he? or does he own the remaining 47% that Intermix Media doesn't own? Hrmm!
