- holymoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man, this how so many uses. I would love to see this technology in paintball mask personally, but all the other options are good too.
- Nessguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1paulwoll is right. This would be great to have on monitors and TVs.
- rohcky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When and were can I get some of this stuff. My windshield gets foggy in the rain. Don't want to have to keep buying RainX
- paulwoll, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I want this on my plasma tv.
- kidlinux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Coulda sworn this was a dupe.. the cross-posting between digg and /. is gettin pretty lame. Though more so on /.'s side.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I want this done after RK eye surgery.
- hax0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet... the best part is at the end:
In addition to its extreme absorbency, the coating reflects less light than the surface of untreated glass, thereby reducing glare and letting more light through.
That suggests it could enhance the light-capturing capabilities of camera lenses and solar-powered voltaic cells, Rubner said. When part of a sheet of glass is surfaced with the new coating, it becomes remarkably transparent, he noted. "The half that's not coated actually looks dirty." - bloaded, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A thin layer of shaving cream does the same thing ala Haleys Hints :P
- Drum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool. The one thing that worries me is: How durable is the polymer/glass matrix?; that is, how easy is it to be accidentally scraped/abraded off. If it's really durable then this technology is awesome.
- jmaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love reading articles about chemistry written by a non-chemist. They didn't even mention what the compounds are. Good thing I have Sci-Finder Scholar.
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0will it work in the shower where the concentration of humidity and cool air from the other rooms can often cause fogging on my bathroom mirrors? Huh?! Hmm?!
- rohcky, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0^^^ I don't want to know what you do with your plasma TV

What is Digg?
