- hhh333, on 12/13/2007, -0/+10NOOO they replaced the infamous urchin.js .. was about time :D
- MWeather, on 12/13/2007, -0/+8Real geeks aren't very productive, then.
- raccettura, on 12/13/2007, -0/+6Google Analytics blog is still using urchin.js
Irony!
/kidding, no big deal - gbouchard, on 12/13/2007, -0/+5They waited a long time before that patch. The event tracking system is very nice too. The big guys like Omniture and CoreMetrics and others probably didn't like that update too much :P
- Mononuclear, on 12/13/2007, -0/+5a simple counter works for your personal site with family photos.. You need a lot more when you run a high traffic website and need to track many different aspects of the site in order to change things for the better and also to use for advertising metrics.
- Dan1, on 12/13/2007, -2/+7FYI - If you're using Adblock with Filterset.G, it'll block most of the Analytics features. I'm sure the maintainers of the filterset will come through with an update for that soon.
I mean, not that anyone on digg would use a mischievous tool like this to block advertising. - mojaam, on 12/13/2007, -2/+6I use analytics every now and then but most of the time, the more simple statcounter works. Analytics can gets too complicated sometimes.
- j0ned, on 12/13/2007, -2/+5buried for lack of information. I have an analytics account, why would I just want to look at screen shots of something I can see myself? Where's the information instructing how to use the new features or what sort of benefits they provide?
- rudy23, on 12/13/2007, -0/+2i have no clue how to us most of the features. looks fancy as hell though. not to mention free.
- forsgren, on 12/13/2007, -0/+2Wow, it doesn't validate either... Nice feature! =)
Not very hard to fix manually, but some of the features goes bye bye then... - jefren, on 12/13/2007, -0/+2I have been waiting for the event tracking for soooooooo long !
- matters5, on 12/13/2007, -1/+3Was that sarcasm? I've always kind of thought Google Analytics IS one of the big guys.
- masterstager, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1I was looking at your screen shots and am new to Google Analytics, is it available on all the accounts because I am not sure that I have all these features?
- samuel514, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1hahaha :) good one !!!
- jdhoover, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1There is some good info at Google's blog on this. The blog is above your post. In there are some of the features of the new ga.js, particularly in this PDF file. http://www.google.com/analytics/GATCmigrationguide ...
- inactive, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1wont parse under blogger.com
- matters5, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1You have to install the new tracking code first.
- RyeBrye, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1I put valid code in for the analytics code before. The mac users thought it was cool that 80% of the visitors to the website were on macs. Then we realized that no hits from IE were being registered.... woops.
IE is to blame for the invalid code snippet you have to use to get the analytics tracking to work. - saleh15, on 10/31/2008, -0/+0http://www.topics.mzaeen.com/

http://www.sitemapwriter.com - flamingpolo, on 12/13/2007, -3/+2Watch out big guys, Google Analytics' coming!
- ToonPang, on 12/13/2007, -2/+1Anyone who trusts the company selling you the ads to tell you how good your ads are doing, is just dumb.
They inflate their conversion numbers so much, it often times goes above %100. They even have a cop-out 'explanation' in their docs. - irek, on 12/14/2007, -1/+0I am not trust this company. Thats all
- winstar, on 12/14/2007, -1/+0That's a cool new feature. I will differentially check it out see how it works.
- ToonPang, on 12/13/2007, -3/+1Luckily any smart analytics user would never trust Google to supply numbers. 3rd party analytics will always provide better metrics.
Look! Google Analytics says my Google Ads are doing great! Awesome! - thehemi, on 12/13/2007, -6/+2I AdBlock Google like the plague. Well, all other advertisers that I find, too.
- JasonCox, on 12/13/2007, -7/+2Yeah, the features are nice but real geeks write their own analytics software.
- llamabox, on 12/13/2007, -10/+3I Like Turtles!!!
ehh... figured it was worth a shot
