- SexyPopMachine, on 08/06/2008, -2/+150Maybe a preference to have the toolbar on the bottom of Firefox instead of taking up all the space at the stop would be a good idea?
None the less, AWESOME!! - nickert0n, on 08/06/2008, -0/+99I am never going to get my work done. *****
- rootnik, on 08/06/2008, -1/+84Come on guys... stop burying people who don't like the toolbar format. I understand that you don't want see any criticism of Digg at all, but Rose & co will want to see what people are saying about this plugin - good or bad. Good developers love constructive criticism.
- digitaldivinci, on 08/06/2008, -8/+66Hell yea! Now wheres that native iPhone Digg Application :)
Google Diggerific - Thanks Daniel Samuels - Floris, on 08/06/2008, -8/+63Woops, works great on 3.0, but 3.1 isn't support yet
- jag2004, on 08/06/2008, -1/+55I kind of wish it took up less space, but it seems pretty useful so far.
- choward, on 08/06/2008, -0/+46We've heard this suggestion from a few people, including some here at Digg, so will try to find a way to make that work in a future release.
- Hayes, on 08/06/2008, -5/+49Yo dawg we heard you like Digg, so we put a Digg in yo Digg so you can Digg while you Digg.
- cspecht, on 08/06/2008, -6/+42Slick....I like the look of it.
- xParker, on 09/12/2008, -2/+36I like the notification part but the toolbar takes up too much space.. try this one, all the same toolbar features but one small button: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/576 ...
- sdub74, on 08/06/2008, -8/+41Come on, they just release an extension, and you expect them to have it working for the beta versions also? Give me a break.
Diggers are like women sometimes, never can be pleased. - danielsamuels, on 08/06/2008, -3/+32Diggerific.
- Crandall, on 08/06/2008, -4/+32The toolbar is quite useful.
- nreynolds, on 08/06/2008, -0/+26does anyone else see danielsamuels replying 46 minutes ago when the comment was only posted 44 minutes ago? I assume it's because digitaldivinci edited his, but the more likely scenario would be future-posting!!
- StatiK69, on 08/06/2008, -1/+25Between twitter and now this, with all these plugins I'm going to have to be hardwired with a t-3 line straight into my brain.
- tempusrob, on 08/06/2008, -0/+23Why are you running FF without AdBlock Plus?
- boneill428, on 08/06/2008, -3/+25Found this story using the toolbar. It's pretty sweet.
- inactive, on 08/06/2008, -0/+22apparently you didn't get the memo....
Firefox is the best thing since sliced bread. - harcesis, on 08/06/2008, -0/+21Get Nightly Tester Tools and you can disable addon compatibility testing
- HerrSchnuff, on 08/06/2008, -0/+19Just install the Nightly Tester Tools Extension.
http://www.oxymoronical.com/web/firefox/nightly - sahaskatta, on 08/06/2008, -0/+18The toolbar is great and all, but I still don't like the idea that I need to go visit the digg.com to actually digg the story. (notifications are neat!)
Digg me down if you like, I wish they would offer some practical way to make digging easier like stumbleupon lets you rate thumbs up/down right from the toolbar. As for submitting stories to digg, the bookmarklet probably remains the easiest and most "lightweight" method of doing so: http://skattertech.com/2006/06/digg-this-bookmarkl ... - NeoTEKK, on 08/06/2008, -1/+18This is my reply.
~Shmoe - choward, on 08/06/2008, -0/+17We noticed that as well during development. Click the Digg dude button in the navigation and the toolbar will be hidden.
- tomlit, on 08/06/2008, -0/+15Looks great & works well, but takes up so much valuable space. I think I still prefer http://www.tc.umn.edu/~wilm0044/digg/
- Jedakiah, on 08/06/2008, -0/+14I already found a bit of a glitch. Look at what happens when you merge the buttons with an existing toolbar.

- PhillAholic, on 08/06/2008, -0/+12There's nothing wrong with not blocking ads. The least site owners and advertising agencies can do is make sure it doesn't cripple your browsing experience though. I know I originally started using ad block when sites I would visit would have flashing, blinking ads and others that covered up content. It just became too much.
- TheDarkTipper, on 08/06/2008, -0/+12Bug I found:
When I customize the toolbar, I dragged all of the digg toolbar items into the customize box so I could rearrange them the way I want, but when I tried to drag them back out, the yellow digg button disappeared. It is not in the customize box anymore.
I loved the extension for the first five minutes I used it though. - colonelbuckshot, on 08/06/2008, -0/+11The toolbar takes up quite a bit of space at the top, would be nice to have more display options for it
- XeroKool, on 08/06/2008, -0/+10That's the one I use. It's pretty useful and compact. Don't really like the idea of having an extra toolbar on my browser. They did say you could hide it but then what would be the point. The notification part is cool though.
- colonelbuckshot, on 08/06/2008, -0/+9Can't be bothered turning a toolbar on and off all the time. The digg and comment stats are better off in the statusbar at the bottom-right for example
- skunkman62, on 08/06/2008, -2/+11great, another *****' toolbar. like we really need one.
- insertAliasHere, on 08/06/2008, -0/+9Or you can go into your about:config, and create a new boolean:
extensions.checkCompatibility
and set it to false. - chaos7, on 08/06/2008, -2/+11cool..but i probably won't use it
- Spaceboy492, on 08/06/2008, -0/+8In an old digg extension for Firefox 2, there was a section with the same functionality as the toolbar down near the Greasemonkey and IE Tab icons in the bottom right. I preferred that more than having a separate toolbar altogether.
- JessicaSarahS, on 08/06/2008, -0/+8A few things:
* Since the toolbar is so big, might as well take advantage of the space and add the buttons statically : "Submit" "Digg" "Bury" and "Go to article". Just gray out the options if they don't apply. Currently, when I click "Digg this" it takes me to the digg page, instead of digging it directly. Don't do that! Just let me digg it. But give an option to go to the page.
* It would be cool to give the option of either a toolbar or a streamlined button.
* Ask for the username AND password.
* I haven't received one yet, but is there a way for the popup notification to differentiate between friend's submissions/shoutouts/dugg articles? I think coloring the notification green, similar to the comments section coloring and maybe adding their name to it would be awesome. If that's in use already, good job! - redslash, on 08/06/2008, -1/+9That comment was so dumb.
- digitaldivinci, on 08/06/2008, -0/+8Bless you Daniel Samuels. Bless you.
In my defense, it did just come out a couple days ago :) - rodrigo74, on 08/06/2008, -0/+8How complicated can a Firefox extension install get?
- billbugger, on 08/06/2008, -1/+9there's also http://m.digg.com
- innovati, on 08/06/2008, -3/+10I know! I got all excited, but I'm on 3.1a2pre and it doesn't work.....
I bet it can work, is there any way to spoof version numbers? - expert01, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7Maybe, but it won't stop Firefox from crashing when I visit a digg page. I have to do all my commenting through my feed reader (Which also crashes).
- madeingermany, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7oh, http://digg.com/iphone is the same as http://m.digg.com
- Superflks, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7Actually I think some of those ideas aren't half bad. 1,2 and 5 in particular.
Maybe giving an allowance of more diggs to people who submit legit stories. - inactive, on 08/06/2008, -0/+6I've never done anything but click two things to get an extension to download, install, and auto-configure.
- digitaldivinci, on 08/06/2008, -0/+6Yea, I edited mine so that in the event mine did not get buried to hell, people could see a solution without opening the tree.
- boneill428, on 08/06/2008, -0/+6Nice suggestions. Some of these are already considered for future releases.
To answer your question about requiring a password. The toolbar just looks at the profile of whatever user you enter. All the information is already there. No password is needed. - jackola, on 08/06/2008, -1/+7I wish it could work well with other toolbars. I was able to drag the individual parts into google bar, but then the 'digg it' and word bubble images stretch in height and the words next to them align top.
- CharlesSaint, on 08/06/2008, -0/+6Except I'm sick of having to log into http://m.digg.com every other day to check out a couple of stories! Keep me logged in damn it, I'm on MY phone!
