- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4For a 17 year old throwing something together, and then posting it under the GnuGPL, you get a digg. I don't care how many other people could do better, or how many people have problems with it.
- jamesuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, optimisation may be the problem. I kinda made it as I was learning PHP and Javascript. Admin mode is not cached so it can be slow. By 'page' do actually mean a new page or the drop downs by clicking icons on the toolbar?
- thund3rstruck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow.... 17 years old? Perhaps I should start to take AJAX seriously..... I'm starting to believe that desktop applications programmers, such as myself, may be a thing of the past in a few years; since it appears, everything is going to the web
- jamesuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sorry, forgot to mention. There's a demo at:
http://www.logahead.com/demo/ - doubledoh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like it...but as another poster mentioned, I wish it didn't look like the default wordpress install. Even if you copied the theme from your home page (http://www.logahead.com/), it would be better than looking so similar to wordpress. I mean, at least change the header color from blue to something else (orange would be nice).
- jamesuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1well, that lasted quite a while =P I'll open it again later with some restrictions like no images etc.
- pbjorge12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Has anyone poured through his code yet to make sure it's safe? It's a great looking web app, but I just wanna make sure it's not just a cover for a hole it's opening up to turn my server into a spam-bot."
Their probably are quite of a few holes - NO offense to the programmer but when your an amaetuer stuff like that usually happens... - sargant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You get a digg simply for the phrase "buzzword compliant".
- jamesuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The installer has a wordpress importer which I've had people report back works fine so, yes wordpess import is in there!
As for themes, there's only two at the moment. There's the option to create your own but unforunately it isn't quite as powerful as Wordpress. You can just change what CSS is loaded.
I'll try and develop or get some people who are a bit better at the graphic design side to come up with some more themes. - strazz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow, this is really sweet, very nice web page btw, impressed at your age.
- Anderian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ye gods. Watch out for the demo page he links to in the forums, it's been goatse'd.
- jamesuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How would you know how awesomely web 2.0 they were if there wasn't rounded corners and pastel colours I ask you?
- sl33stak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I set it up this morning, PIECE 'O' CAKE.... I've been looking for a blogging util for my site and this is pertty swell.
- Dennern, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0awesome.... is there a way to export Wordpress blogposts into logahead?
Buzzword compliant :D - jhowe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great job! I'll be checking it out as well.
- MrHomeValueCom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why are all these "web 2.0" sites all trying to look the same?
- mrivorey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Has anyone poured through his code yet to make sure it's safe? It's a great looking web app, but I just wanna make sure it's not just a cover for a hole it's opening up to turn my server into a spam-bot.
- domusvita, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In the demo, it's kind of messed up under IE (please, no flames), all of the sidebar content is below the main content. I loves AJAX. Diggity digg digg.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks like most other blogging engines. Definitely smacks of typo.
- bluesaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey Cool stuff for A 17 teen year old don't mind the negative crap people are saying here.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well done. You'll go far.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is defintly going to be my prefered blogging system. As soon as i get access to my ftp i will upload, and install this :D
- fu_fish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've been looking for a tagging-enabled blogging package. This might meet my needs.
- kash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice so far. What license are you releasing it under?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey, don't show of like those mad4milk who just put their release to later because their so called "beta tester" didn't give enough feedback. I hate that.
- arTech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just downloaded and installed this one. It's definitely fast if you have a fast host. I installed mine on a2b2.com and it's worth it. I'm scratching my wordpress and keeping this one. Great work.
- krum0786, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Your hosting bill is gonna get the digg effect.
- hanshasuro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good work.
- jabbslad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg! - /me loves!
- weiran, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm assuming you're on Dreamhost? It's taking the strain quite well. How much of your 1TB have you gone through? :)
- rossbrown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think I'm still going to wait for mooflex
- aum80, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Keep up the good work...

- gometro33, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg++ for being younger than me and having more motivation. Plus it looks good. Gonna have to give it a spin.
- Hoohoonick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0uploading it to my webspace, thanks for not making me look for something like this!
- carbontwelve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0get a development team :) at the moment its too simple for my needs... running wordpress atm. maybe with a few more improvements i may be enticed to switch :p
- sygyzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Man, 17 years old. This looks like some serious pro work!
- jamesuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Demo is available again....gulp.
- dragazis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pretty cool. good work man
- JW00000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok, the demo is getting flooded with goatses... That took at least 3 hours...
- zslootsky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If I needed a new personal blog I would use this. i might suggest it to others.
Right now I'm working on a much more complex site that needs a full CMS so this doesnt work for that, but I love the live search and the draggable sidebar. I chose semilogic for wordpress because of how easily I could change the sidebar.
Good work, I'm a CS major and don't know if I could make something so nice, so cheers! Why don't you turn this into a kick ass wordpress plugin James?
-Zach - graywave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Big digg. This is amazing. If it got a team of developers behind it it could take on Wordpress. Definitely a contender.
- dragazis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone have a mirror for the download, its dead
- Atomic1fire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sending it to techcrunch might be a good idea
- Makki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0a dead download link is not good
- tegulizard13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dang, this is pretty sweet. what would be really cool, would be the ability to drag every single element around the screen, then save the positioning somehow as a scheme of some sort
- aKae, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is great! Had some initial problems getting it setup but i just erased the files and tried re uploading everything and it worked just fine.
Thanks for releasing this. - tomi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it possible to log in to the demo?
