- M4tt3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Alright, *I'm not really familiar with DDR2, so I would like to ask if someone could explain to me, how CL 5-5-5-15 is better, even at 1000MHz?
It seems to me, (*I said it before) that CL 5-5-5-15 is really slow clock timings.
So my question is, why is the memory faster with such high/slow timings, then normal DDR, even with DDR2 having the higher bandwidth?
Thanks in advance. :) - adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1From the box..."Please allow six to seven hours of cooling before removing your ram sticks. If computer has been on longer than 24 hours, please allow 12-14."
- antron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Heh, "Patriot Memory" -- why do all other memory brands hate freedom?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'll have 2 of those please.
Thank you. - syuusuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0beast.
- zatoichi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm only going to buy "Jesus Memory"..."Patriot Memory"...ha Jesus laughs at you.
- Wasted, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Patriot Memory" will it bring democracy to the oppressed Asian components in my rig?
- gotamd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DDR can go a bit beyond 600Mhz, but not much. I have some PC-4800 myself from OCZ. The fastest I've seen is PC-5000 (also from OCZ) but it's designed only for one specific motherboard (DFI) and the timings on it aren't as good as the PC-4800.
- generalleoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That damn site is now asking me to register. Bastards.
- DiggLite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0China's affiliate, Communist Memory is doing likewise.
- KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So does this really do any good? After all can your motherboards FSB really match this to prevent bottle necking. It's been a while since I put together a pc... I guess since shortly before I got my mac.
- generalleoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OK now I know why I never herd of this company. Patriot Memory appears to be a brand name owned by PDP Systems. It also appears that Crucial and Corsair have 1000MHz DDR2 already on the market. Crucial markets both 512M and 1G modules and Corsair only markets 512M modules. Crucial is timed at 5.5.5.15 and Corsair at 5.4.4.9. Both have a Cas Latency of 5.

Yikes! =( Otherwise regarding the speed, sweet! =) - zatoichi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It was a joke and meant to be very immature. Oh well. FLAME? Yippee.
- M4tt3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Speed? Bottle Neck? Ha....1000MHz its like having a giant ***** and telling people about it...Does it have to work???????????? No, cause it's a monster dick.

O'boy, I'm just trying to be friendly, but your going to get flamed by a bunch of little kiddies.
So maybe I can calm the storm, before hand, because even though I may not agree, I respect your opinion, as immature as it may be.
FLAME,FLAME,FLAME,FLAME,FLAME.
Ok, you've had enough. ;) - fuRy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0gimme
- Kido1986, on 10/12/2007, -0/+01Ghz DDR2 is nothing new.
When I saw the title, I was thinking 1Ghz DDR, which WOULD be a big deal. DDR2 is for sissies :P "Wow, my car can do 187mph, but it takes 24 minutes to get there!" - My inteperation of DDR2.
/me puts on flame suit in preperation for the overheating-Intel fanboy attack. Flame me until your system overheats and reboots Intel fans! - gotamd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, the title definitely needed to read "1000Mhz DDR-2 Memory Unleashed".
1000Mhz DDR would *really* be something. - Choppy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why do people not know the differences between DDR and DDR2? Anyways, I don't think DDR will go above the current 600mhz... maybe slightly.
- BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Doesn't the XDR RAM in the PS3 run at 3.2GHz?
- zatoichi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Speed? Bottle Neck? Ha....1000MHz its like having a giant ***** and telling people about it...Does it have to work???????????? No, cause it's a monster dick.
/penis analogy - bobbienewman, on 04/04/2008, -1/+0You can hate freedom and still be a patriot
