- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4BORG technology!
(I know it's obvious...but someone had to say it. Now it's done! - Doubledown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4already hit the front page earlier today:

Dirtyfratboy finds everything... - molecool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It is sure a wonderful time to be a mouse these days ;-)
- Jarasmen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow. I didn't know we actually already have any nanotechnology. So far all I've seen were theoretical articles. Cool thing then, maybe in 20 years I won't get old thanks to nanorobots ;)
- tgourley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is great. Nanotechnology has lots of cool potential applications, and its not just science fiction anymore. I cannot wait to see how this turns out. If it can repair brain functions, then maybe we're not too far from having nanotech wipe out cancer cells and reverse the damage from diseases such as cp or ms.
- diskopo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Maybe now we can get closer to having robo-chicks that look like Cylons for each of us! I'll take one Grace Park, one Tricia Helfer....and one Lucy Lawless please!
- subscribtion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nanotech is amazing, but I'm more interested in the neuroscience. I would like to see, in my life time, the ablity to "wake-up" more of the brain. Have more processing power/memory available to us humans. That would be simply amazing IMO.
- loker269, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2well see our technological innovation is our strong suit it is why we survive.....it is survival of the strongest and well our technology is what makes us strong....
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm expecting the first "ENLRAGE YUOR P3NIS WTIH NANOTCEHONLOGY" spam in 3.... 2.... 1....
- t0dd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You should start a "I for one welcome our new -fill in the blank- overlords" club.
Once a week you can meet up with the "first post" gang and discuss new worthless commenting techniques. Douche. - Fantt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Heh - 10 years ago people thought i was completely insane when I mentioned nanotech. Now it's popping up all over the place. Cool stuff.
- 1337geek, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5it keeps getting duped.
- pillfred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"MIT Researchers Restore Vision In Rodents Blinded By Brain Damage"
front page yesterday, and a bit more in depth, but i didn't read that till i read this so whatever. cool ***** all the same. - Doubledown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1His was the first that I saw, but nonetheless... dupes of front page news that hits the front page is nuts....
- ubern00b, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1more like dirtyfratboy dupes everything. his was a dupe too.
- tgourley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, regardless of the "dupe", it is still a cool story and one I missed yesterday. Maybe I need some nanotechnology in my brain to help keep me up-to-date with digg!
- manitcor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nano-tech is in use now in alot more places than you realize. It has already entered the consumer market in many forms. Not quite the little machines we imgine from SciFi novels but they have already made your life better and you prob dont even know it.
- Hiwitori, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow. This is really impressive. I'm all for it, but something tells me its being used way before its time.
- paolonorte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just about every technology is a two-edged sword. Technology is an endless pandora's box. I'm no Luddite, but one can name any human invention and there's a negative way to implement it, or some drawback, or something we lose. I'm not at ALL saying 'tech is bad' or any sort of reductivist argument, just sayin' that we Super Techers too often are blinded by the bright side of things.
If you don't believe me, go watch Serenity again. - Gardenhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's pretty funny, I read that as Damage Repaired Brains. Looks like I might find some use for those nanobots. Reminds me of the radio station dain bramage.
- c0dek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that's great news - there's hope for the majority of commenters on digg now
- Night, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They had an article in the bbc about killing cancer with nanotech. It seems they are very close. THe nanoites grab onto the cancer cell and when hit with infered they heat up to a point where it selectivly kills the cancer cells. Or something to that effect.
- tnsimonson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I juiced the vCore of my brain by .2 volts which allowed me to increase my noggin's front side bus speed by over 50 MHz yielding a full 1 GHz overclock. My vision is now almost 25 FPS faster! Although now my memory is a little sketchy and I have to wear ice packs on my head to keep from stroking out, it was totally worth it.
- blaze890, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i digg that, but its kinda creepy.
Reminds me of "Prey" By Michael Crichton - shadedream, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Pretty sure I saw this a few days ago...
Kindof funny how people who point out duplicates get burried so much. Wouldnt it be better to remove redundancy in the system and get an single compiled number of diggs on a story or topic? Seems like people get penalized by others for pointing out these redundancies... - deepsub, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You will be assimilated. :-|
- strobe33333, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The only problem with saving humans and/or prolonging our lives is that there will be more and more humans around. Personally I'm a fan of natural selection. A large portion of the "repair" this would be used for would be for injuries that are result of us doing stupid *****, e.g..... getting into a piece of plastic and metal and hurtling over concrete at 70mph or diving into a shallow pool.... We can't expect nature to forgive us for being idiots.
- PurpleD423, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I for one welcome our new nanotech overlords.
- evirus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whats the point? just implant computer chips, they already communate through the same medium, electricity, all thats left is configureing it in a way that both can "understand" eachother
- blackthorn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very good, but if this can be used in the opposite direction, it becomes a two edged sword.
- Ratteler, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1At last!!! We may finally have a cure for Republicans. :-D
- oldcyborg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Where do I sign on?? I need some help... Maybe
Cyborg
yeah - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1idiots duped once again
- cleverboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0QUESTION: What's scarier than a malfunctioning robot that is 5 stories tall and smashes buildings?
ANSWER: A million malfunctioning robots that are smaller than a single cell, and travel ling in swarms. The odds are, the robots would kill the scientists that invented them first... (we call this "ground zero") so that we would instantly lose any hope of com batting the problem, scorched earth policy notwithstanding. I dunno. Maybe I've been reading too much Andromeda Strain or Prey or something.
Damn you Michael Crichton... - clownguyx, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4There's hope for all those terrible things I did to the rodents in my backyard as a kid afterall.
- coldcoffee, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Zhish is (*drool* *spasm* *twitch*) gweat! Mabee id whill hewp mi wif mya bwain!!!
(*drool* *spasm* *twitch*) Ahhhhhhhh!!! - Ace2005, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I bet penis enlarging microbes will out sell these. I wonder if you could use wifi to upload stuff into your brain.. what if i got hacked? I bet someone finds out how to put linux on it before long :D
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4DUPE: http://digg.com/science/Brain-Healing_Nanotechnology
but digg anyway because it deserves front page diggs - Grandfinale1, on 10/12/2007, -17/+5Dupe.
