For every post on Digg that claims that they closed their MySpace and joined Facebook, a lot of college graduates do just the opposite (only Facebook makes it so hard to close that they just ignore it.) And most new Facebook users keep their MySpace and are active on it.
The reason is simply. Becuase there is absolutely nothing wrong with MySpace. You get what you put into it. If you are stupid and go nuts, you are going to get that crappy experience that people talk about with the horrible layouts, loud music, videos starting up, etc. But you can get the same crappy experience with Facebook if you are stupid. Just in a different way. On the lfip side, if you are smart with your privacy settings, you can get a good experience from MySpace. - Orb9, on 01/18/2008, -3/+11All 14 year olds do.

Personally, I have a Myspace and a Facebook account, dont keep a personal page for either and use myspace for one reason only:
discover new music.
The majority of my new music purchases is music hear on Myspace. If bands have an online sales thingy, I buy digital but if I hear a band and like 3-4 songs from their jukebox, I buy the cd.
I dont want to be your friend, Waste my time leaving lol messages. I use Myspace to discover new music from across the globe.
