Well all I can say is, if you prefer to belong to a KNOWN SEXUAL PREDATOR site, in lieu of a KNOWN legit community of like-minded individuals, then I guess you belong in a "high school" environment because you're exactly like the fake-ass pieces of ***** I hated in high school.
- mzneo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anytime you have adults and *children* interacting, there is the possibility of predatory behavior. This is true of MySpace, Yahoo chat rooms etc etc etc. Is it a possibility on Lost Cherry? Of course it is. However...and pay attention here folks,...this is where a "community" like Lost Cherry differs from the MySpaces and chat rooms of the world. Members of LC work together to rid the site of these types of losers. Once someone like this is discovered, bulletins go out and members tend to band together until the person is either booted or leaves of their own accord. The same holds true for posers and fakers...the ones with nothing but fake pics on their profiles. There is a sense of pride in community that just doesn't seem to exist on MySpace. My suggestion to all the naysayers is not to knock it 'til you try it. But hey, if you like the ads and pop ups and whore trains and inane "What color Skittle am I" type bulletins..then please, by all means, stay over on MySpace.

In chat rooms, on the various IMs. Everywhere you look it is possible for predators to lurk. But the one thing that non-LC users don't know is the those of us that belong to LC actually look out for each other. When we find someone that is posting inapporiate material it is flagged by the members. The members of LC make the site fun to be a part of it. I have a myspace account only because of a friend that is on it and I've found that myspace is full of people that want to promote porn sites. The only real people that I have as friends there are people that I've already known. The LC actually allows you to make new friends everywhere because those people are real and want to make friends with others. People shouldn't bash a site just because of the name the site has without trying it out. I'm sure that if those that are bashing the LC would spend as much time getting to know it rather than posting hate mail for it they would leave myspace in a heart beat. Try it out and you'll have fun!!

The risk of sexual predators exists everywhere on the internet but if someone is stupid enough to meet these twisted bastards then it's their own fault for whatever happens to them. They make the decision to talk or meet up with weirdos themselves. LC's never had any negative media attention that I know of unlike myspace and the name lostCherry doesn't imply or mean that the users are trying to find people to rape. And as for the "big brother" thing, the LC is self- regulated so you can flag pictures or weirdos that you find inappropriate. If you like myspace that's fine, but quit bitching about LC if you're not a member and you don't know what it's all about.
