- I-Train, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2anyone know the latest news on if any version of the RAZR will be coming to verizon?
- underburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think the RAZR is old news, yes it was cool last year. Let Johnathan Ives design a fricken phone.
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Only if they fix those irritating little problems 1) no music purchase over the air and/or 2)VERY limited memory.n
- swilly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how many songs does this one hold?
- Phoenixfury, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I anyone who bought the original iTunes phone will be flaming mad when this thing comes out. :)
- icespide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There is a CMDA version of the RAZR that was announced today that will work with Verison. the V3c
- icespide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0er CDMA my mistake
- jakv5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
I hope Verizon gets with the program and adds the razor with iTunes or people like me are going to leave in exodus. - ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Moto also announced a RAZR dubbed the V3c which will have EV-DO and other pink and baby blue. RAZR's.
- tdkpetrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So what we have here is a badly built but fancy looking phone with horrible and outdated hard- and software (the usual Motorola "quality") able to connect to an on-line music store, which results in the phone being totally overpriced. Well, that was the case with the previous models as well, but probably not as extreme.

I will get this phone if its not exclusive to Cingular but also available through T-Mobile USA. I have my fingers crossed since T-Mobile did score the PEBL.
This phone is what the first iTunes phone should have been and not the Al-ROKR.
ps. to the people wishing the RAZRs would come to Verizon, the RAZRs are GSM based. Verizon is not a GSM carrier. Here in the U.S., GSM is what Cingular, T-Mobile, and formerly AT&T Wireless offered. Its the worldwide (well, European) standard that just doesn't have backing in South Korea or half the mobile phone carriers in the States. - zforrester, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've always wondere why bother with an iTUNES phone when you could have an ICHAT phone. Think about it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah ...Yeah is this a Apple blog or what!
- icespide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't understand why anyone should care about a phone with iTunes
- dougieb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another similar article with more details... http://www.gadgetell.com/entry/77
- deimos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Personally, I can't stand the RAZR. It just seemed to me when I held it that they took a normal-sized clamshell and squished it -- it went from thick and not too wide to thin and very wide. The "sheen" on the numbers (not sure what else to call it) drove me nuts too.
- htown513, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here's a link to the moto site with all of the Spec's. Lookin' damn good. http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details/0,,130,00.html
- ForbesBingley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I don't see the point in putting iTunes in a phone, if you can buy music, can you transfer it to your computer than your iPod? How many songs can it hold? Why not just carry a Nano or something, which will probably hold more songs than this phone, not to mention that fact that is smaller than the phone, but you do have to carry 2 small devices."
And then you go and answer your own question.
Nice one... - ForbesBingley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have the Razr v3 Noir.
I was hoping that was the form factor for the original Razr with iTunes, but they chose an off-white brick instead.
Hopefully, this one will do better .. that's if Apple let Motorola put more songs on it... - serra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This won't be worth the extra money. Save your phone upgrade for something better, like the other nice phones that Motorola will be coming out with in a while. I'm perfectly content with my original Razr, it's been the best phone that I have ever had.
- zonk3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dunno. This looks like something I thought was cool in 1985. What is with so many new electronics having an old school 80's look about them? I'm sure it's a great phone and all but it looks too familiar... 80's familiar.
- Trojan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nov. 15 is the date Verizon gets the Blue and Pink RAZRs. That's for sure.
- stokestack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"There is a CMDA version of the RAZR that was announced today that will work with Verizon"
This was announced a year ago, and still isn't here. The excuse is that they're having trouble cramming the stupid E-911 boondoggle circuitry in there. Talk about a phone-maker/government scam: Everyone, without exception, has to replace their phones, but you know that when you call 911 you'll still have to figure out where you are because "we don't have that system in place yet."
The state of phones in general is pathetic. Check it out: The StarTac 7868 is just as thin as almost any current phone except the V3, and it's what, seven years old? And it's a no-nonsense matte black brick, not the stupid gaudy blue plastic shells with "metalized" paint that pass for phones today. - Flyinace2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why do I want an iTunes phone. Because i reall do not want to carry around an iPod shuffle and a cell phone. I currently own the Motorola e815 that does have an MP3 player, but is a PITA to put songs on it. I also have a 40gb iPod that i use lots on road trips or in the car and a shuffle that i won in a raffle. I barely use the shuffle because i don't want to carry one more thing in my pocket. If my phone had iTunes and sync easily i would be all set. Also since all my music is in high bit rates it would be nice for iTunes to convert on the fly to lower bit rates for the phone like it does for the shuffle.
- Metal_Hurlant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Right. The current Razr can have up to about 7MB of free RAM (assuming you don't have any friends, don't play games, and such.)
That seems like barely enough to store 2 songs, but don't forget the audio quality of the phone is not that great, so if you encode your mp3s at 64Kbps, you can store a whooping 4 full-length songs.
I would take a memory card slot anyday over the "itunes" hipe. - Maverick83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"how many songs does this one hold?"
