- njbair, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Is del.icio.us considered a competitor to digg? I post completely different things on one or the other.
- thund3rstruck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I don't really give a damn how popular they are, I love the site and its a lifesaver having instant access to all my favorites from any PC.
- verifex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I use Del.icio.us and digg, whats wrong with using both?
- dhuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"I’ve come to the conclusion that I have no idea what’s up at del.icio.us."
public stats show bad news.
yahoo stats show good news.
hmmmm. - jeffreygoines, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"Over 53 million posts (on 25 million URLs) have been created on del.icio.us to date..."
An average of just over 2 "posts" per URL? Sounds low. - alienz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Comscore is so freaking annoying. It never matches what you'll get from your weblogs or a tracker like Omniture, Hitbox or Google Analytics. Somehow bosses get looped into it and I have never had anyone say they had comscore metrics show increasing traffic it is always a bearing of bad news.
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Beyond that, didn't we come to something of a consensus that since his first stats were based off of traffic through delicious.com, that they were inherently flawed?
So this guy starts screaming the sky is falling down, attracts a mountain of people to his site, only to see an almost unnoticeable "note:" that the stats are based off of the site's obscure mirror (I had no idea the site owned delicious.com, too), then he posts again to show the figures are off, but totally passes right over his previous sensationalism?
Why is Tech Crunch popular again? - discordja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that would be the long tail at work
- Rosco, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Hey, thanks! I've never looked at Del.icio.us before, but with all the commotion going on in here at Digg all the time about it, I thought I'd finally take a look at it. I really like their RSS feeds, takes me right to the story's link, instead of to the posting like it does for Digg. Now I have Del.icio.us right on my Firefox toolbar along with Digg. thanks for the tip on the great site, I'm a Del.icio.us user now.
- jowan2006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I don't think there's anything wrong with using both... Digg is more new related while del.icio.us is more for personal bookmarking.
- angler8890, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1its not a branch of another company that wants to put its views first who cares if for the sake of money they over http://www.ggov.info/sitemap.htm estimate their user numbers so long as their users arnt being payed to provide content who cares.
- Strd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2If Dell.icio.us want uphold their reputation they shouldn't censor negative comment by request of crooked online vendors. They removed my comment at starforce.com copy protection site, about allegation of starforce copy protection damaging hardware.
- JohnBoySligo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1the really cool thing about this kind of social news site ( digg and all the others included ) is that its not a branch of another company that wants to put its views first who cares if for the sake of money they over estimate their user numbers so long as their users arnt being payed to provide content who cares.
I hope digg never becomes the daughter company of some dick less all mighty company that is afraid of negitave press because of non politally correct content. - dmr0240, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Del.icio.us is overrated (regarding the content of the site, not its popularity).
- Chainsaw, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0doesn't apple hate sites like mac rumors?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -18/+3Who cares about del.icio.us? Stop posting crap like this. Post stats about digg instead.

What is Digg?
