Due to this, hundreds, more like thousands, of people would have actually heard about this movie being worth watching and would either watch in in theaters or torrent it. Either way, more publicity and more sales for Mirimax.

I personally think the best solution is to either dramatically improve the theaters or provide theater releases at home through an OnDemand service. But at least Miramax is starting of positive ways to solve the problem - TheWriteGuy, on 04/13/2009, -0/+16If I'm going to spend the time watching (and bandwidth to download) a movie, I'd rather watch it in the best possible quality (preferably a straightforward digital from source, or DVD standard resolution at least).
Watching cammed footage shot secretly by some guy in a movie theater that has people in the audience -- the lesser image quality often strains my eyes and ears.
I think the MPAA makes way too big of a deal over cam pirates, since I bet many people are like me and would rather just wait for an official DVD release than watch a camjack. Apparently in the trailer there was a breif frame or 2 where it looked like someone was pointing a gun at the camera, so the MPAA flagged this (apparently they OK'd it in Quantum of Solace though), and didn't approve the trailer. I hate movies when there bunch of kids shouting and talking through out the movie. or at comedies when you get some retarded which laughs loud enough the entire place to can every time. something happens. even when it not funny. if you can get a quite screening when the place is empty then it ok. but there are very few movies which need the cinema experiences 95% plus are more enjoyable at home on a HDTV.

One of my best friends wanted me to go see ghost rider the first week it came out. I declined, but downloaded a camed version. All I can say is; I made the right choice. If the movie had been great, I would have happily handed over my $10 and another 8 for popcorn and coke and watched it in all it's glory. 20 bucks is chump change to me for a good and fun night out, but if I had paid $20 to see that piece of trash, I would have been pissed for a week.
