- ISellSigals, on 07/02/2009, -2/+23They should definitely take legal action against them - this kind of false information can not be allowed; but then again what can we expect with the current controlled corporate media that just don't give a ***** about independent journalism and reporting news accurately.
- kopiwrite, on 07/02/2009, -2/+13Who woulda thunk that the politicians would misunderstand the entire picture and then go on to lie about everything they don't understand? I'm so glad they don't do that here in the US!
***** THE RIAA! - jasperwillem, on 07/02/2009, -2/+13Lol, I hope they succeed
- JMilton, on 07/02/2009, -1/+11FTA: In their advice to the government, a working group consisting of four members of the Dutch parliament looked into the matter. They suggested criminalizing downloading once the entertainment industry has come up with sufficient legal alternatives.
I suggest criminalizing Dutch parliament until they come up with some common sense. - davewelsh79, on 07/02/2009, -2/+11Buried for "stealing".
Why don't you call it murder instead?
"The only thing you're proving to the execs is that their products are still worth something (or in this case worth murdering for)."
Or maybe "genocide against the artists"? - WraTH017, on 07/02/2009, -0/+7The best defense is always a good offense.
Godspeed Mininova! - JMilton, on 07/02/2009, -2/+9Because we're boycotting the RIAA, not the artists.
- JMilton, on 07/02/2009, -2/+9If you want to leave stupid comments so be it, I hope you don't complain when you get buried to China.
- maffiou, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5Parelmentary immunity ? Is this a license to talk a load of bollocks ? It sounds like it... ***** them all !
- jamesgott, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4diggers, where do you find your torrents?
i use mininova, piratebay, and occasionally isohunt. - illTech, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5FTA: "They suggested criminalizing downloading once the entertainment industry has come up with sufficient legal alternatives."
I'm sure the RIAA & MPAA would argue that going into the brick and mortar store and physically buying an album or cd is perfect alternative. Digital distribution is just a 'fad' to them, yet it [supposedly] costs them billions each year.
Good luck Mininova. - kopiwrite, on 07/03/2009, -1/+3Most people don't even know what the RIAA is to boycott it. But they are still Anonymously boycotting the RIAA by downloading the artist's music. It's getting the content without going through the RIAA's *****.
But seriously people, use riaaradar.com before you buy any CDs/vinyl/"legal mp3s". If they own it and you want it, pirate it. If they don't then don't feel bad buying it. - inactive, on 07/03/2009, -1/+2You're a pirate? Then STFU. You don't have any legal basis to complain about anything anyone says about you until you join productive society. Get a job, one that doesn't involve generating ad revenue from stolen content, then we can talk.
- inactive, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1TPB tracker did a great job fetching Ubuntu last month...
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1the beginning of the end for mininova probably. i like the strike first approach, though this is kinda like the mole poppin his head out where bill murray is waiting...
- SemiSarcastic, on 07/02/2009, -11/+3Wait, why are you guys using Bit Torrents to protest against the entertainment industry? Haven't you people ever heard of boycotting? The only thing you're proving to the execs is that their products are still worth something (or in this case worth stealing).
- Presbyterian, on 07/02/2009, -16/+2If Mininova wants to go to court to be it, I hope they don't complain when they get taken down..
