Michael Robertson Helps Linux By Removing DRM

linspire.com — Our Chairman and founder, Michael Robertson, who was also the founder and brains behind MP3.com, just launched a new DRM-free digital music store, AnywhereCD.com. While many talk about trying to help solve the DRM problem, I'm proud to see our founder actually DOING something and investing his money to try and move in the right direction here.

  • schestowitz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now they do some bragging? This was a joint effort that involved many fronts, including Steve Jobs who is far more influential. DRM is dying.

    Ironically, Lispire appear to be among those who accept things like iPods and DRM (see World Domination 201 from ESR).

    Either way, kudos to Michael Robertson for lobbying!
