- albiniak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24i'm by no means a site admin and can't be a fair judge, but maybe digg less and moderate more.
- dsmx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24Piracy accounts for almost no lost sales, most people who pirate something will not of bought the item anyway or are trying something out before purchasing it. Bottom line is people will only pay what they think something is worth, if your product gets pirated a lot you should look at the reasons why people pirate it.
I should also add that adding DRM will only effect the people who purchase your product legally, all the pirates will be unaffected thus making DRM pointless. I just wish companies would realise this. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17MD = completely doomed
The employees will have to run to another country, start a new business, change their names, and then go through the leaked info process again. Then the whole thing loops. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18What would be nice is if TPB and other highly secure trackers would publish lists of the fake files, maybe as an RSS feed that other sites could use to automatically eradicate those files from their systems. I can't imagine a more secure system than that.
- h4rdcor3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16woo hoo!!! it's an industry troll!!!!
for your information all of the movies i download, i wouldn't watch otherwise. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14pinksupervisor, you sir, are a complete idiot.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13I guess I know where I am getting Transformers 2007 DVDRip XviD-FLAiTE from.
- flazz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12since when was copyright infringement theft?
- davidwasman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Demonoid is missing, though. I'd be curious to know how much they permiated that site/tracker.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I have many movies (500-600+ out of several thousand I own) that I first pirated and then bought when they became available. I live in an area where the nearest cinema (well, nearest good cinema) is over 90 minutes drive away and there is no way I can justify a 3 hour trip there and back to see a movie I may or may not like.
There are many movies I have obtained via bittorrent and then bought that I'd otherwise never have been exposed to, so from a purely financial standpoint the motion picture industry has made significantly more money out of me thanks to bittorrent than if BT wasn't around.
When will these ***** realize (or perhaps admit) that BT does no harm to their bottom line, and in fact probably helps it instead. - ivanvanderbyl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7hear hear
- WildTang3nt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Dugg down for not using reply correctly.
- omababy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7most bt users know this, the list just confirms. sad to say.

- ivanvanderbyl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I liked the alt caption they put on the image with that article, "This is really *****!"
- h4rdcor3, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9If people just learned that for movies just go to an axxo account. can't go wrong with him.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4MD... Is that you?
- davidwasman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Those with a keen eye will notice in the picture of MD's CEO and Vice Pres. that torrentfreak.com is on the monitor and both faces have frowns and tears added.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I wonder how pinky accounts for movie profits last year then. It was probably the most lackluster for quality content but profits were higher than ever.
And how about the Simpsons Movie, it was available to download before it even hit US cinemas but has gone on to make almost double the projected profit.
When will the motion picture industry see leaked movies for what they are, a GREAT (and free) publicity opportunity for good movies. On the flip side, once a ***** movie gets leaked and the news gets out it will rightly receive a crap box office take. If thats not the perfect reason to stop making ***** HOLLYWOOD MOVIES and raping your paying customers I don't know what is! - kufu91, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3so don't copy that floppy?
- shark72, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4My experience is different. I used to spend a couple of hundred bucks a year on CDs and DVDs since I got into BitTorrent. I *do* pirate to save money, and it's saved me a lot. Thanks to BT I have happily been creating plenty of lost sales for the industry.
I am certainly not the only one. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Its not that interesting, ***** sites like TorrentPortal and what isoHunt has become are very slow to get on top of fake files, but if you have ever looked for an advance album on piratebay you'll notice that they are really quick to remove fakes, a good example being 50 Cent's Curtis, which had thousands of fake torrents posted, most of them on the pirate bay, but they only existed on TorrentPortal and other sites, and had been quickly deleted by piratebay mods.
- QuickeningYak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Results for the demonoid trackers would be useful.
- GeForce8800GTX, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3"Results for the demonoid trackers would be useful."
