The paddle would follow the average of where everyone's dot is. The more dots touching the paddle at once when the ball hits, the harder it would hit the ball. You are most likely making a difference in the game, but with this many people it is very miniscule.

Sugoi desu neeee... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I suspect the reason that the blue team sucks so much is that people are used to the left paddle always being the player's paddle in pong, so it takes them awhile to realize that the paddles are always in the same spot and you may be the paddle on the left or right when you connect - whereas the red players are already using the paddle their head thinks they are using based on historical pong playing.

For everyone else, understand this: the lighter the area in the lavalamp-like glob, the more people that have their mouse pointer focused on that area. It averages out where everyone is and moves the paddle accordingly. The more people that have their cursor next to the paddle when it hits the ball, the harder the ball is hit. EVERYONE makes a difference, even if you can't see it.

you were most likely put on the team with MORE people and MORE points. do you want to know why? that is because the LESS people on a team, it is EASIER for the skilled players to help that team catch up. ever think of that? :)

It seems like it averages out where everyone on one team is trying to move to, and you can tell by the little back and forth movements the paddle is making while everyone is struggling to get their own way. Pong Democracy lol.
