It's hard to believe that this is actually english. - kryptogrowl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Who is Mark Cuban?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it bad I had to Wikipedia "splog"?
- fox, on 04/11/2009, -0/+0i had to wikipedia splog also haha
- boinko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1And why does anyone care what Mark Cuban thinks?
- gbobman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, good read at his site for his other ideas, too. Might not always be right, but he is very thought provoking and has original thoughts.
- Raian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this is a Google blogger.com Blogspot splogtastrophy!!! Someone please don't let the ***** hit the fan!
- Albertpacino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Well the ***** hit the fan today."
Hahahaha! you got to love this guy.
digg on! - heartless_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For everyone thinking this was "comment" spam on Blogspot... it wasn't! These are actually full blown blogs that copy random text off the internet and create a blog from it. Therefore any search engine you are using is searching millions of "spam blogs aka splogs" and returning false results.
You may not care about blogs, but if for the millions of e-commerce people out there the itnernet is getting bombarded by these irrelavant splogs. With them cross linking each other they also get right to the top of most search engines.
Cuban is simply stating that its now a catch up game for most search engines... blog search engines being hit the worse (hence the icerocket.com linkage).
There is a growing market for blogs and those of us who ENJOY them deserve some sort of control from Google. - Friedle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For the record, didn't Chris Pirillo's blog posts ignite this?
He should be getting the credit. - MySchizoBuddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ColdChilli - My Space doesn't belong to MS or has anything to do with MSN. the article is about Sblogs. namely blogs whose content is spam. It isn't about Spam comments. please read before u reply.
- ewingsquadron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Part of the article is copy and pasted twice.
D'oh! - lanfear, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I try to read books or do something creative at the computer (or check links at digg.com!) instead of reading blogs. :)
- belac88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0GO MAVS! CUBAN ROCKS!
- bem1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Bring back the Benefactor bitches!!!
- titanass, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Non personal(about what youve seen or done or know not what you read on the web)blogs are worthless and that describes most.
- battybattybatt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It was esxactly 2 HOURS ago I read this crap.
- ColdChilli, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0MSN's Myspace has more problems than blogspot.
Myspace just has a Cross-Site Scripting Worm which created 1 million links in less than 24 hours (http://digg.com/programming/Explanation_of_how_the_MySpace_worm_worked). With blogspot the owner has the option of turning on word verification for comments. Don't blame Google it give the option to the users, blame the owners of the blogs for not turning on a simple switch. - thedonnybrook, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0so long as my blog still goes, who cares. splogs have been a problem since this mess started. he has a point though.
- boinko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Why is Cuban worrying about blogs? It's like some old guy worrying about playground equipment. Kinda weird and bizarre.
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -1/+02 Words: Anger Management.
- mindsinker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Mav's still suck.
- Nephets, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0not a big fan of cuban, but this is cool. (I'm a Spurs fan)
- Lionhart, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Off topic but how the ***** does Albertpacino have 602 front page articles. Do you like spend all day on digg?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0As someone with a blog, not only do I not know what the ***** Mark Cuban is talking about, but I also don't care. Half of that article doesn't even sound like English.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Blogs ***** suck. Stop flooding Google with the same ***** 2000 times over.
i.e. "Apple releases new iPod" okay, fine BUT WHY DOES EVERY BLOG IN THE WORLD HAS TO REPEAT THIS?
