The BPI Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The RIAA Soundexchange Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The IFPI Are: The same anti consumer lot as listed above!
The MPAA Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX. - ChinezePanda, on 07/23/2008, -3/+107At the batman movie... guys in MPAA shirts "Anti-Piracy" walked down the isles...
Shouts of "***** THE MPAA" and GET THE ***** OUTA THE WAY YOU PEICES OF *****"
were heard throughout the theatre at Lincoln Center... people even demanded their money back because of the interruption they caused during the first 6 minutes.. which officially made half the theater watch it for free.
FAIL.. mpaa... ***** fail. - dsmx, on 07/23/2008, -3/+92So let me get this straight the MPAA want to prevent people from using it's media thus inconveniencing them further and pushing even more people to pirate media. Does anyone at that organisation have a brain or did they sell them all to make some extra money?
- fata55, on 07/23/2008, -2/+56Why would I buy a movie that cant play on my tv, when I can pirate that same movie that can?
- whyufail, on 07/23/2008, -1/+45I would love to see video of this.
- Konrad9, on 07/23/2008, -3/+43Alright.
I've been supporting you guys for a while. I've gone through thick and ***** and said "You know what, I may not like it. But I'll still buy the ones I think really deserve it."
You know what.
***** YOU GUYS.
I'm not buying your ***** until you get your act together and treat me like the paying customer I WANT to be. - dvsbastard, on 07/23/2008, -3/+31Dear MPAA,

dvsbastard - hugolp, on 07/23/2008, -2/+28Should I ask the MPAA in what device I take a *****?
- r2builder, on 07/23/2008, -2/+25Just ***** off, MPAA.
- stunner21, on 07/23/2008, -1/+23Wait. They actually want people to NOT watch their stuff?!?!? ***** I've been getting it wrong all of these years....
- PHiZ187, on 07/23/2008, -0/+20The Electronic Frontier Foundation does so much from Patent Reform, Net Neutrality, and Warrantless Wiretapping.
Please donate: http://secure.eff.org/donate - RobotBuddha, on 07/23/2008, -0/+19This is what happens when a company is layers upon layers of people who are out of touch with even people approaching middle age. Anyone who actually understands the view of the average person under 40 gets their voice filtered out before it reaches anyone who can actually do anything.
- WalkerTXclocker, on 07/23/2008, -0/+19Dude, that day has come and past. According to the DMCA you aren't allowed to change the format of a dvd to watch it on a psp, etc...
So get seeding. - whyufail, on 07/23/2008, -0/+14It's better!
- cheezintern, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12with all due respect, the MPAA can suck my hairy balls, sir
- mrinsanity, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12Wait, they did that DURING the movie? Holy ***** that's low. I would totally get my money back that's annoying as *****.
- h4mx0r, on 07/23/2008, -3/+14Over my dead body.
- WTFppl, on 07/23/2008, -1/+12As soon as they release some kind of security hardware or software, we will crack it...Do these people think they are making a difference? If anything, I think they have helped pirating more, but than again, that may have been their agenda all along!
- grenadepin24, on 07/23/2008, -2/+12While I personally am against pirating media, the day that I am unable to watch a movie on any damn device i please is the day i will download bit torrent and download every movie in existence. It's funny how such "smart" people can be such dumbasses...
- babyloutattoo, on 07/23/2008, -1/+10How does the MPAA get away with ***** like this?
- Gizza, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9What gave you the impression that these people are smart?
- WTFppl, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9Cause we buy the pruducts their funders make!
Funders:
SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX. - Split98, on 07/23/2008, -1/+9Reciently, I've tried so damn hard to NOT pirate *****.
***** it.
Yeeehaaaar! - jbrand45, on 07/23/2008, -1/+9This kind of thing might have worked 15 years ago, before the Internet was such an engine for change. . . these days, however, people are much too informed to ever let something like this happen.
- PopcornDave, on 07/23/2008, -1/+9Think of all the money you're going to save.
- kenkyomausu, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Actually his icon is a spoof of Blu-Ray, it says Death Ray.
- Tenoq, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Time for a new monitor.
- Hellman109, on 07/23/2008, -1/+8Im glad I took up the bittorrent route, haha you guys pay money AND get screwed over, sucks to be you!
- dood, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Eh. It's hard for me to get worked up about this. They want to make it harder to use their content, I'm just not going to use their content (and therefore won't buy it). There are plenty of other ways for me to entertain myself.
- vpshockwave, on 07/23/2008, -1/+8Worst copy and paste ever.
- hugolp, on 07/23/2008, -2/+9@Kristijan12 So saying "***** the MPAA" is something you shouldnt say? how saying ***** MPAA to some guys that are trying to make culture a pure business and give yourself no choice but to use the devices exactly in the way the want to is wrong? They are talking your freedom and you say saying ***** them is wrong? Whats wrong with you? Just because they wear a suit doesnt mean they are right or respectable. They are some ***** without any consideration for you or anyone else trying to get as much money as they can from you by any means. You know what? ***** them. Thats the right thing to say.
- cheezintern, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7..and then they contribute dues the the MPAA, which in turn purchases various congressman and other gov't officials depending what country they are interested in changing the laws.
- inactive, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Which is? i mean i don't ***** want to "boycott" a product i want a product and i want it to work and for some reason the pirated copies i get work better if the legal ones thy are selling are beter i mean i would buy those but thy dont..
- bbliss17, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5haha that is awesome....they were probably looking for cams or something. So instead they lost a ton of money b/c they are retarded.
- MacintoshSauce, on 07/23/2008, -2/+7***** the MPAA.
- Tyrghast, on 07/23/2008, -2/+7I wish the suits the best of luck, cus they haven't got a chance in hell of getting regulations like this passed.
- greevar, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5When you get a group of people together like the MPAA, the group can influence each individual to follow the same line of thinking no matter how stupid it is.
- bradleyland, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Way to destroy the movie going experience. Just wait till they start performing cavity searches on the way out the door.
- Kristijan12, on 07/23/2008, -3/+7And I would love to have the opportunity to yell at them as you had in cinema.
Probably saying things I shouldn't`t.
Oh how great that would feel, even do they are just the minions of the MPAA monster. - kandahmews, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5██░░░░░░██░██░░░░░██░░██░██░░██░░
- greevar, on 07/23/2008, -2/+6***** CORPORATE PERSONHOOD!
- jamesdew, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4I hope you're right, really I do
- inactive, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5Its easy - you stop watching any movies, or listening to any music connected with the MPAA, RIAA or whoever. Just stealing them and then complaining that it is ***** anyway is ***** retarded.
- Gizza, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Lets just say this goes through, and at some point I want to buy the Dark Knight on Blu Ray. But the TV I currently has won't let me play it unless I buy a new TV or some box I can plug into it.
Do they actually expect I would do that rather than pirate it instead? I don't think they have one brain cell between the lot of them. - ChinezePanda, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Dude.. Just as the Joker is robbing the bank these 2 ***** strolled down the isles pointing and whispering to each other trying to find people recording the show.
It was pathetic.. completely ruined the suspense of the opening heist.
DC should file a lawsuit for this kind of interruption. - Loxias, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3██████░██░░░░██░░░████░██░░░░██░░

If this passes i'll gladly cancel my cable service entirely. On demand televison programs sans the buy my glorious laxitive and teeth whitener commercials are far more enjoyable via bittorrent. I outright refuse to fund the MPAA's attempts at consumer and industry innovation control by paying to watch movies or programs they choose to produce until they get they're heads out of they're asses.
and finally...
***** THE MPAA - inactive, on 07/23/2008, -1/+4yay for capitalist facism!
also, i support independent artists. - RobotBuddha, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Depends who you define as "these people". More often it seems like people promising magic spells to the MPAA, who just eat it up because the whole concept of the internet seems like science fiction to them too.
- G33k0ft3chz, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Oh hell no.
