Oh, there it is. - metateck, on 05/15/2008, -3/+104Who the hell purchases warez?
- chadillak, on 05/15/2008, -13/+58"THIS'll teach-ah nintendo for-ah stereotyping-ah mah peepull!"
- justice7, on 05/15/2008, -5/+47Funny how half the above comments have no idea what "Warez" means. Oh the good old days. Maybe I'm old?
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -3/+43A better view - http://www.flickr.com/photos/cospics/2491529412/
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -5/+37conveniently, when you walk in the store, you're smacked in the face with 14 of the same naked lady magazines. You try looking at the back of a video game only to be confronted with more images of naked ladies. You find that after having left the store, you see naked ladies popping up everywhere. This is the state of Warez.
- Mononuclear, on 05/15/2008, -3/+33In quite a few countries they sell pirated DVD's and CD's on the streets....
- theendlessnow, on 05/15/2008, -0/+24Of course, it's not the real store... merely a copy.
- pixelbender, on 05/15/2008, -6/+25Yeah but do multiple "windows" pop up in front of that one, and when you enter do you have to sign up for some "free" porn magazines only to try and get at what they have - but you still have to take the discs home in 14mb pieces.
- sonofblacula, on 05/15/2008, -3/+20There is a store called WareZ in the image. Google the word warez or something and you'll get it. I can't explain, it's too ridiculous....like defining lulz.
- Celeron, on 05/15/2008, -3/+17Paying for warez. Isn't that contradictory?
- mrinsanity, on 05/15/2008, -0/+15Maybe. I remember when I was 12 or 13 and surfed warez sites, though I never understood until recently that warez meant "wares" as in soft"wares" or, "Hey, shopkeep, show me your wares so that I may purchase something." I used to pronounce it "Wahr-ehzz" like the place in Mexico.... I was such a n00b.
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -1/+14Yes. you're the only one on the internets that knows what Warez mean. I'd venture a guess that most above not knowing what it meant were trying for sarcasm... aside from the couple, "whassat" comments.
- mdoom, on 05/15/2008, -0/+12I understand what i means and all, but i still find myself pronouncing it like that. lol
- smrekar, on 05/15/2008, -0/+10i pronounced it juarez
- egoideal, on 05/15/2008, -0/+11I believe the word "Stop" is an english word and not Italian.
- Dunge, on 05/15/2008, -0/+9just you
- lamiaconfitor, on 05/15/2008, -0/+9Warez are cracked or hacked software, or tools to assist pirating software that is usually massively pirated over p2p (Peer to Peer) networks.
- shanesemler, on 05/15/2008, -0/+9Yes but Italy is part of an international treaty that standardized things like road signs and such after WWII so there are stop signs all over Europe.
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -0/+7welcome to the non anglosaxon world. big brother is dead there.
- Kruez, on 05/15/2008, -2/+15Do all stop signs in Italy say "Stop"?
- julianwan, on 05/15/2008, -0/+8is digg a community of suburbanites? They sell warez in America in a lot of places... Been to any big cities lately?
- DefaultGen, on 05/15/2008, -5/+12I couldn't find anything for sale here...
- raydeen, on 05/15/2008, -1/+9New to the intarwebz much?
Just kidding. If yer not in the know, it's geek (1337) speak for pirated things. It's a very nice thing to Google. Astalavista.com ftw. - lamiaconfitor, on 05/15/2008, -0/+7or in flea markets. like here in America.
- fictionalOne, on 05/15/2008, -0/+6I thought it was astalavista.box.sk
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -0/+8I pronounce it septugaint.

- bob12321, on 05/15/2008, -1/+7http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warez
- mCanada, on 05/15/2008, -2/+7from the old BBS days "warez the warez?"
- shanesemler, on 05/15/2008, -1/+6Yes, actually they do.
- welshie, on 05/15/2008, -1/+6http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna_Convention_on_ ...
It's pretty much an international standard; of course, the USA choses it's own very verbose road signs instead of pictograms. Australia, and the Republic of Ireland are also exceptions that I'm aware of.
It does mean that, for instance, if I'm driving from the UK to Greece, I don't have to learn French, German, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian and Greek for STOP, or ROAD NARROWS, or BEWARE OF WILD ANIMALS, ONCOMING TRAFFIC MAY HAVE EXTENDED GREEN and all the other road signs. - Napalmhaze, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4I lol'd
- Vladk1000, on 05/15/2008, -0/+6He said astalavista.com, not altavista.
- TheMachine1, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4If your so observant of the criminals ethnic identity how come you were not observant enough to avoid the crime? Real story you were trying to pick up a tyranny streetwalker and after the meeting you shorted him/her and you got mugged by the pimp.
- raydeen, on 05/15/2008, -0/+5This is a problem? I call that having cake and eating it too!
- DefaultGen, on 05/15/2008, -3/+7Get it, because warez sounds like "where's."
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -0/+3That's what the digg button's there for.
- Akaji, on 05/15/2008, -0/+3I think they're looking for an explanation as in "Warez is an Italian word that means such and such"... I have no idea what else it could possibly refer to - and Wikipedia doesn't know either, so it probably really is a warez store.
- SteveMax, on 05/15/2008, -0/+6[insert Portal reference]
- inactive, on 05/15/2008, -1/+5the naked ladies are obese. eat that cake. sorry.
- jjustice, on 05/15/2008, -0/+3Shibboleth!
- sabach, on 05/15/2008, -0/+3I remember when astalavista was still somewhat useful
- pikpikcarrotmon, on 05/15/2008, -1/+3Nobody would pirate those pieces of *****.
- mentor, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2In my country, people wander around the streets, openly, openly wearing glasses...
- Grok22, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2where Izzy?
- nomadbea, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2There's a lot of similar shops in another town I visited. Warez, Hardwarez, Warezville...
- mokodo, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2go to brasil
you will find that they speak portuguese rather than spanish and that the signs have a "PARE" but follows the same colors and shapes from a standard STOP sign, that is international. -
