I agree with virtualin on the point of adding relevant content to your site. It really does make a difference. - virtuallin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's somewhat true that reciprocal links are dead - I've stopped doing it for my real estate agent clients, however starting up 3-way linking, which has been around awhile is yet another spammy method to inflate your PR unjustly. If you do this, it may work - maybe even somewhat long term, but you can be assured that Google is already quite aware of the practice and will find a way to detect them. The absolute, hands-down best practice is to simply add relevant content to your website - blogs, articles - and the links will come. Do your due diligence in any link exchanges - read Matt's blog (Google) - If you link to (A) and (A) is linking to porn or gambling...you're going to bleed PR.
