- startrek, on 10/12/2007, -5/+33I was scared out of my clothes when I read that Leo might be canceling TWiT. it ruined my whole half week. Now I can go back to living my normal less petrified life.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Leo you big ole drama queen.
- drpatter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Hey Leo,
Nice blog post. It was a nice way to scare the viewers into contributing. The perfect plan.
*evil laugh* - aura, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I hope this shows Leo how much support the shows have, especially TWiT. I'm glad to see Leo has heard the community and has plans in place now for the future.
This is a good example of how the convenience of the internet can lead you to say things you mean one second but regret later. I think this is good though, it's rare that the community unites like this, and I for one didn't realise the bredth of the TWiT listenership.
Go the TWiT Army! - carpespasm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9"get off my law....err... netcast!!!"
- dougdug, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8good news indeed. a momentary bout of near-despair. Leo is a pretty open guy for a public figure - we usually have a good idea of what he's thinking when other people (lets say Pat or John C. D.) would probably keep it under their hats.
in the final analysis, that is a good thing, even if Leo throws us a scare now and again. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Hooray!
- deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I predict Leo is going to become the first person to do a 24x7 podcast. He'll duct tape a skype phone to his head and go non-stop. Think of all the great shows he could do. I'm looking forward to This Week in Grocery Shopping and This Week In Eating Breakfast.
(Seriously though I think Leo is doing some great stufft. I make a monthly donation to the network to show my support. If he really did This Week In Eating Breakfast I'd probably listen to it.) - flashpitt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Leo was just taking the week off to acquire more bass for his voice.
- valkyries, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3with his lasers?
- SuitCase874, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Your ">" symbol has convinced me. "Netcast" forever!
- fallenone05, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Thanks Leo for not cancelling, I promise I will use my Visa more often if it makes you happy!
- vcleniuk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3And there was much rejoicing! Yaaay!
- killinger777, on 10/12/2007, -13/+15netcast > podcast
- wintermute0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2TWiT's been by far my top [whatever]cast for the past year. I'd be pretty disgruntled if he went and cancelled it, especially since they haven't had any problem keeping listeners.
- PointAndClick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4What a relief. If nothing else, Leo now knows how much the TWiT Army is truly behind him.
While I'm here, I'm going to pimp this out:

:) - DelMonte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't mind them having Visa as a sponsor, but Dell...
That clearly influenced their editorial content, note how they almost completely stopped saying anything negative about Dell on the show, Leo even had an awkward moment when he was about to say something about Dell and hesitated... - doowttam, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2He mentioned that he would decide what to do with the show when he got back from his trip. That really implied that he was thinking about ending it.
- macbookpromat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm happy, but wasn't it clear that there was to be more TWiT later on (two weeks-ish). I'm sorry if it wasn't clear to all but thats what I understood from the start.
- SniperGX1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It was just the first episode of TWIL, since there was no twit Leo put it in the TWIT spot. It does have its own RSS feed and if you don't want to listen to it you won't be getting it anymore. If you do want it go subscribe.
- startrek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think you found the name we need for all of these! We could call them whatevercasts. I'll start doing it, maybe it'll catch on!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This Week in Bowel Movements (though I bet some twitters would even listen to that!).
Then theres the late night casts, This Week in Bed etc. - DrumsNWhistles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Good to hear!
- yllabianbitpipe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3So I downloaded TWiT or (TWiL) and started listening to it on my iPod... I was totally confused as Leo's voice said this show was about Law... I thought, what the heck? Is this a joke? The show turned out to be okay but pretty dull and not anything like TWiT. So I really hope leo does come back just so I don't have to pretend I'm interested in internet law...
- doctorcaligari, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Great "Full Metal Jacket" reference, there.
- greensky, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Get the Woz on more shows! I love to hear all the stuff he is up to... :)
- joesoko, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3THE TWIT ARMY HAS SPOKEN!
thank you for listening. - Chupatumama, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I guess this is where we have to do a prerequisite 'Shatner talks to Trekkies on SNL skit' reference about geeks needing to get out of their parents basement and get laid.
The classics never get old. - chabuhi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Large or small mouth? Striped?
- scottykempf, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Huzzah!!! The great and powerful Leo of the Laporte has staved off defeat and vanquished the dread dragon of burnout!! Huzzah!!
- AngryA, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2When did he say he was going to pull it?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Leo is a pretty cool dude, I used to watch him way back in the days of Satellite only TechTV. It was a shame when the network became G4, that network sucks ballz.
Like I said, I like Leo. Hell, he can come over to my house and ***** my sister. - seaner, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1http://digg.com/tech_news/Net_Night_Leo_Laporte_Amber_Macarthur_s_new_podcast
- StephenChow, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Choose your words wisely, old man!
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -15/+10Great news, I've been a Leo fan since the '90s, and a TWiT fan since it started.
Now, if he could just get over that whole "netcast" silliness, all would be well again. - G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3And I can't believe its not butter!
But seriously folks, I'll be here all week. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2me too
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -22/+3Security Now mother *****
