- ramsinks.com, on 10/10/2008, -0/+105That guy is basically saying "it should be illegal because it competes with us."
- BelatedHero, on 10/10/2008, -3/+91Please don't get mad at us. Our state is backwards and run by retards.
- poet, on 10/10/2008, -2/+69Hi ma'am. My name's Governor Steve Beshear. I'm with the Kentucky Global Internet Police.
Can I ask you a few questions? Do you own any horses? How about go-karts? - ramsinks.com, on 10/10/2008, -0/+67"It hurts our Churches"
please...
Think of the children! - Beson669, on 10/10/2008, -2/+48I was going to say "in before all of the ignorant, assuming ideas about Kentuckians" but it looks like I am too late. I am from Kentucky and... oh ***** it; who am I kidding? We are all a bunch of slow-talking ***** sisterfisters
- angrydroid, on 10/10/2008, -0/+35I love how they are saying that these websites "prey on our citizens" and then go on to indicate that it's interfering with THEIR attempts to prey on their own citizens.
- john2kx, on 10/10/2008, -1/+34You're not alone.. I'm in Florida. :(
- questro, on 10/10/2008, -0/+24Sadly, you are correct.
- cman2020, on 10/10/2008, -1/+24I dislike Gov. Beshear more and more with each new story. If there is any karma, this ridiculous, pandering move will bite him in the ass.
- ConNERD, on 10/10/2008, -0/+22Texan here.
You don't know "backwards." - galv0, on 10/10/2008, -9/+27Kentucky, lol.

It hurts my pussy - kenkyomausu, on 10/10/2008, -2/+20For some reason this video is really cool! I want to see a daytime movie made out of it.
"YOU CALL ME SHADY?! THIS WHOLE COURT IS SHADY! THIS WHOLE GODDAMNED STATE IS SHADY!" - jako91, on 10/10/2008, -4/+21I don't like these online gaming sties that's just me
but that doesn't mean they should be censored. This is a clear misuse of power by Kentucky - WiretapStudios, on 10/10/2008, -0/+17Virginia here...from the polls it looks like recently we have been emerging from retard status to 'possibly slightly smarter than before'.
Is your state run by retards, or like me, is your country being run by retards? I think of it as more of a trickle down (or even trickle up) retard leadership culture. - BelatedHero, on 10/10/2008, -0/+16At least you have beaches.
- MassaYoda, on 10/10/2008, -0/+16Dugg for adding "sisterfisters" to my lexicon.
- hasahugedig, on 10/10/2008, -1/+15Their governor seems to suck, but their fried chicken is finger licking good.
- pentalive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+14Especially because the issue is not "The state of Kentucky believes that you should not gamble", it's that "The state of Kentucky believes that you should only gamble where they say you can"
Not that I prefer Nannyism to Protectionism. - CoreyHalliwell, on 10/10/2008, -2/+16I Like KFC.
- WarnerK, on 10/10/2008, -1/+15Things like this probably wouldn't scare me if they were uncommon occurrences, as they aren't very logical and the people making these arguments are unlikely to win. These cases DO scare me, though, because, while there is only a small chance for people like this to win, the large amount of these types of cases suggests that it will happen with at least a few of them. What is with the huge outcry against internet gambling? I see nothing wrong with it. I wasn't aware that the US government is supposed to act as an eavesdropping parent in regards to how we spend our money.
- dogatemypron, on 10/10/2008, -1/+14Pot: Hey Kettle, you're black.
Kettle: ... Son of a b****. - Apostacy, on 10/10/2008, -7/+19It's good to see they finally got the Intertube up and running in Kentucky.
- questro, on 10/10/2008, -2/+14I am from Kentucky and I do not support the attempts by our state government to censor the internet under the guise of enforcing anti-gambling laws. I believe all are free to spend their money as they wish. That being said, I also do not support the US preventing online gambling. It appears to me that many cities, counties, states are in favor of gambling or "gaming" as long as the money flows to them. I don't choose to spend my money in this fashion, but my freedom to choose must remain protected.
- TheEngineer2008, on 10/10/2008, -0/+12We should all write to Beshear, at:
http://governor.ky.gov/contact/contact.htm
Members of the Poker Players Alliance in Kentucky have flooded his office with phone calls and letters. I hope everyone here will join in. - crazyhorse13, on 10/10/2008, -0/+11Starring Samuel L Jackson.
- odigity, on 10/10/2008, -2/+13Never, ever let any government interfere in any way with the internet. It's the only thing standing between us and tyranny.
- MadamSarcasm, on 10/10/2008, -0/+11Hey now... not everyone here is backwards. Maybe if people would stop voting for career politicians with "good ole boy" mentalities, things would get accomplished and we would be known for more than just KFC and the stereotypes that we are constantly affronted with.
- Tddupre, on 10/10/2008, -3/+13I hate my state
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+10Texas, here, I know how you feel.
- CircleFusion, on 10/10/2008, -0/+10I live in Louisville. I agree with BelatedHero. Louisville and Lexington are like islands of civilization within a pool of uneducated rednecks.
- danc4498, on 10/10/2008, -1/+11I think Microsoft should be able to hold http://www.apple.com/ hostage because Apple is stealing from their OS industry.
- mxmj, on 10/10/2008, -0/+9I don't see how he can even pretend to have jurisdiction over these sites. Almost all of them are based overseas, mostly in Costa Rica.
- BelatedHero, on 10/10/2008, -0/+9The majority of the population of our state is not intelligent enough to vote for competent leaders... on the rare occasion that one actually runs for office.
- xtmno3, on 10/10/2008, -0/+9http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=freedom
"S: (n) freedom (the condition of being free; the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints)"
Most of the US no longer operates under the goal of having freedom, they just want their way to be the only way. - kurtwinter, on 10/10/2008, -2/+10What an ignorant hick. How does he propose to stop it? By not allowing big trucks? Stopping some of the tubes?
- mxmj, on 10/10/2008, -0/+8What would you call it then?
- pentalive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+8And they got into office how?
- gooch3803, on 10/10/2008, -1/+9How i miss my home state. But seriously, that state does have a horrible record of playing favorites to horse racing. If you're gonna lose your money, you're going to lose it, so what ***** difference does it make if you do it on a craps table, poker table, online site, or horse race. How about instead of trying to censor it, try to regulate and collaborate with the companies so its not spam, its a business. Oh we need a nice Riverboat to gamble on too.
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -1/+9Homeboy looked proud after the 'calling the kettle black' line. You know he was practicing that one at home.
- gracias, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7"Its not shady, its what lawyers do." ha
- Hodan, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7Being from Kentucky, I can tell you the most hilarious part is when running for govenor, he campaigned on a platform of putting an initiative on the ballet to alter the state constitution and legalize casino gambling.
- bushout, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7HEY! I won't hear a bad word about sisterfisters!
- peestandingup, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7Amen to that, ConNERD. Lived in both KY & TX. Texas takes the cake for sure.
- doublebummer, on 10/10/2008, -1/+8I hate that you state your hate for your state.
- stilesja, on 10/10/2008, -1/+8You should have seen our battle with Mrs. Winners a few years backs. Kentucky just doesn't like competition.
- StarThirteen, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6Louisville is after all, the 16th largest city in America. We announce it on every sign on the way in and out.
- StarThirteen, on 10/10/2008, -2/+8I live in Louisville and our motto is "Louisville; It's Not Kentucky."
- wexmajor, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6Is... is this a joke? He thinks he's going to steal the domain names of foreign companies and force them to pay millions of dollars on the pretense that they are competition to horse racing? I hate censorship more than anyone I know but I'm not even angered by this. Just bewildered and faintly embarassed for everyone involved with Kentucky. It's like trying to get outraged at a mischevious toddler plotting to knock the moon out of the sky by throwing rocks at it. That's not gonna work kid.
- MadamSarcasm, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6LMAO! I live in Lexington (or about 3 miles from it) so I could not agree more!
