talk about abusing the legal system... - daeyeth, on 10/10/2007, -1/+43Seriously, RIAA and MPAA are so shady. They're pretty much legal mafia.
- RabbiBizarro, on 10/10/2007, -12/+46You know what? All you dirt bags are constantly stealing. In fact 4 out of every 3 people steal from the MPAA and RIAA daily, accounting for a 13 trillion dollar annual loss.
- BearsDontStack, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31I guess only 3 out of 4 people can understand very clear sarcasm.
- KevenM, on 10/10/2007, -4/+25RIAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Good, ***** the RIAA
- Whackly, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17somebody's having trouble getting seeders for his lolicon torrent
- TheHydrogens, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16I think the 13 trillion dollar part just might have tipped you off....
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I bet that lawyer has bunch of MP3 stashed on his puter...
- lewhich, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10The RIAA should be locked up for trying to kill the internet (a technology it secretly uses)
- williamdyer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10They are not actually legal. They have gotten away with illegality so far. Collusion, extortion, abuse of the tort system, bribery of officials, etc. They are criminals in many many ways.
- spritom, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8"In fact 4 out of every 3 people..."
I'm in a quandary...I want to use this joke for my own purposes, but will RabbiBizarro come sue me for it? - kn0xy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6"crack in the dam, a flaw in the armor"
Well, then, make like the RIAA and Exploit, Exploit, Exploit. Use their style of tactics against them. - Ghstfce, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Another blow to this ravenous, rabid beast known only as the RIAA. But how many damned striking blows does it take to finally put them down once and for all?
@RabbiBizzarro: And tell me where this number came from other than your and the RIAA/MPAA's asses. - hydrodev, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6yea, just like their older brother.... the IRS
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I'm more of a zucchini man, honestly.
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Four out of three studies have proved it. That's well over one hundred percent factual!
- ronaldinho, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5The thing is, they cannot get proof unless they acquired it illegally (by infringing on one's privacy). What's the source? Is it credible? How did you get it? How can they prove that it was ME downloading it and not someone else? If more people knows they can fight back by asking these questions (and these are just simple ones to start with), RIAA and MPAA WILL die
- nesagwa, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8Why am I dug down for this? Honestly? Why is it a bad thing that this story get coverage at the school where its ***** happening.
Maybe I can throw in a MAFIAA reference and a ***** the RIAA or something and get 75+ digs in five minutes. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The RIAA's evil ways are finally being challenged.
Hoorah! - spritom, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Andy funny sarcasm at that. Plus everybody knows that 47.1% of all stats are just simply made up.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Or irony.
- bumpinvolvo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4That has got to be the most ignorant post I've seen on digg all day. Congrats!
- thebellmaster1x, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3See that zooming towards you, RIAA? That there's the law, and it will ***** bowl you over.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3every one knows the third thief steals twice
- Cloudime, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Remember people, you can't say RIAA without saying ARRRRR-IAA.
- nesagwa, on 10/10/2007, -4/+7Submitted this article to the USF Oracle (our student paper here) so this gets some more local coverage. I'm afraid that between the death of one of our students due to meningitis, various student govt. scandals, cluster ***** decisions by our faculty and the West Virginia game this week there wont be room in the paper for this.
- n3demonic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Dugg down for being a prick.
- Travelsonic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Awww whatsthemater, too upset to make a good argument? Libel will get you in trouble dontchya know.
- CraigJ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Regarding @RabbiBizzarro, that was sarcasm. The 13 trillion should have tipped you off...
- Whackly, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Irony is a literary or rhetorical device, in which there is a gap or incongruity between what a speaker or a writer says and what is generally understood
- Yond, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1If I ran a record company, I would love it if people wanted my music for free, hey that means publicity, and the artists I care about would profit tremendously at concerts. Its basically free advertising! My company would become more of a support mechanism to let unknown people with talent become famous, and then we would help them set up their music careers. We'd advise them when need be, we'd provide equipment they want, etc. And we would not cheat artists that deal with us illegally, and we would welcome any new change in technology. To my knowledge the RIAA has opposed everything from the player piano to cassette tape. I would never make people that like my music my enemies. If a new technology comes out I would dive all over it, change my business model so that I can still have a way to make money, and so that my fans and artists are happy.
And if there was no way to make money because of the change in technology I would leave the market and do something else. - bumpinvolvo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3***** THE RIAA!
- bdpf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The legal thieves always get their money.....
- Whackly, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How does it feel to the 4th one, Bears? You can understand "sarcasm" to the extent that it's one layer deep but an ironic comment concerning sarcasm is beyond you (and everyone else who dugg me down or dugg you up). Apparently people like their irony OBVIOUS and explained.
- thebellmaster1x, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Actually, spritom, that study was proven false as of two months ago; it's actually 68.93% of stats that are made up.
- Whackly, on 10/10/2007, -19/+10 4 out of 3 people? i hope you are being ironic
- MuppetMeat, on 10/10/2007, -16/+0dugg down for quashes
- Kasot, on 10/10/2007, -23/+4In related news, murder is considered immoral.
- geekee, on 10/10/2007, -26/+2You're all just pissed you can't get your music free anymore, leeches.
