- toastgodsupreme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I thought technology was supposed to be making things simpler.
I can see it now...
Boss: "Yeah, Gary, you're going to have to move around a bit, the door's been acting funny lately."
Gary: "Well, can't I just open it manually?"
Boss: "No Gary, we're high tech here, there are no knobs or handles. The sensors just have to pick you up. Some of them are broken right now though so you'll have to squeeze through the left side of the door." - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Subtitles I wrote in 5 mins :)
Girl: Today I am visiting the expo for small and midsize companies. So what is this? Please watch closely. This is an automatic door where only the necessary part opens.
Announcer woman: Feels a bit weird, doesn't it?
Announcer man: It reacts quite quickly.
Announcer woman: Pretty fast. This black part has infrared detectors. Only the parts where they react open.
Girl: Because only the necessary parts open, this is what happens for example if you insert a cardboard box. It's very useful if you don't want the heat to escape, or if you want to avoid dust.
Announcer woman: For example in cooled spaces it can be very expensive to cool them down again once the cold escapes, so this can save money.
Announcer man: Maybe it would be good for hospitals.
Company rep: Hey, why isn't this opening?
Girl: Maybe because this is still a prototype.
Company rep: We had the idea for this while we were having a tough time with our small business. - Create, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3isn't this video very old ?
- Deza604, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It seems the door reacts a bit slow... I imagine many people would have problems with banging their heads on the prototypes!
