Also, I'm glad to see that this 8 wishes chump is failing at his goal, like I predicted when his dumb idea was first posted on Digg. - Dvoid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"EEEEVIIIIL!!! *twitch twitch*"
Someone get the Ritalin... - biketourist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I think it is clear indicator to what happened to MP3.com and other content providers: feature my celebs and receive an check under the table. I have been in the radio industry in the past and I know how things work. It is possible that, with the success of YouTube, big interests took notice and are acting at their convenience. I saw it coming, and I wonder why it had not happened any sooner. Many of these things come from the copyright stuff and maybe YT has been menaced with a lawsuit for having copyrighted material in their servers. This was what happened with MP3.com and its Beam iT technology. What happened next was that all the independent artists were downshifted and put to compete with established artists and acts. It killed the site. I would not be surprised if this is more of the same.
- ozguralaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Is Youtube need to be reengineer itself?
- AllMyCauses, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If you read the article, you would get the headline. I don't think anyone called YouTube 'evil.' I believe the word was 'broken.' Not really synonymous.

- soloride, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3had to give you a thumbs up for that one! ha ha.
Paul - yoichi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hey, this is what open source is all about. It ain't about right or wrong. It ain't about privileged vs. under privileged. It's about speaking out loud of what you believe in. That's why it's so important for people to recognize what a cause really means to them. Obviously, you don't need to be in favor. But, any thoughts should be respected and any decisions should be respected.
All that matters to me is what kind of action you have actually taken. Criticizing is the least you can do. But then, it is so damn hard to do so. Excuse my poor English. - snohman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3No kidding, what the ***** are they thinking!!! "MAYBE YOU!" THATS THE STUPIDEST CHOICE OF WORDS EVER! Lets give celebs even more air time, air time they dont need. The whole CONCEPT of youtube is even in the name "YOU"tube. Its got to be the rocket scientist at google SCREWING things up! Idiots!!!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A difference? The dude's riding his bike. Why doesn't he get a job and donate his money to a cause? Or maybe just straight donate his time. 6 days left is nothing, he's got under $10k raised towards his $1m. GG, assfaggot.
- AllMyCauses, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The problem is that the MAYBE is referring to EVERYONE. The only people guaranteed a spot on NYE were the ones who didn't need it.
And I'm sure we're all glad to hear from someone who is happy to see a person fail when they are trying to make a difference in the world. I'm sure that whatever you do with your life makes a much greater impact.
By the way, still 6 days to deadline. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Look at it this way... If you submit a video, you "could" have it featured on the front page. If you choose not to upload a video, it will not be featured on the front page. It's just common sense. It doesn't have to mean that Google/YouTube is turning evil. The title was just poorly written.
