- jquipp, on 10/29/2008, -4/+39Never use it to be honest. I like the Digg format much better!
- Aleman360, on 10/30/2008, -1/+33What's Yahoo Buzz?
- robthom, on 10/30/2008, -5/+24Lol @ Yahoo anything.
That is all. - granolajoe, on 10/29/2008, -0/+18Wait...is this a trick question? I think everyone knows the answer already. Buzz isn't just a buzz-kill -- it's Yahoo's large-scale punking of social media users.
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -2/+18I've never heard of it until now , so i would say it failed
- agsinger, on 10/29/2008, -1/+17yahoo buzz lacks the culture that Digg has -- that is what makes this site have appeal. despite the fact that some people here complain this is "4chan" it really isn't the the same thing at all. yes alot of stuff lately is 'fun' but i don't think there is anything inherantly wrong with that - you can get more informative content through any RSS feeds you want.
- miralize, on 10/30/2008, -1/+13Short Answer. No.
Long Answer. Hell no. - frieddonuts, on 10/30/2008, -1/+12That is a very simplistic way to say it, yet oddly true.
- mediaspree, on 10/30/2008, -1/+12I think digg works cause you "dig" a story like "its cool". To "buzz" a story is...well...lame.
- maz2331, on 10/30/2008, -0/+11There's no commentary on Buzz. It's actually pretty boring.
- Burento, on 10/29/2008, -1/+10Yahoo Buzz screwed themselves.. When their marketing pitch was "Get featured on Yahoo.com" and then rarely ever featured anyone.. It was a massive failure.
- RizzoFrank, on 10/30/2008, -1/+9It lacks the digg community. The only reason I am addicted to digg is because of the other users here. Also the fact I know that we will never see pedobear costume on front page of yahoo. Digg is like the insiders to the internet.
- badenglishihave, on 10/30/2008, -0/+8I don't know, but I'd bury it.
- kuett, on 10/29/2008, -4/+10well it was thought
- keithloughnane, on 10/30/2008, -2/+8Yahoo has too much beurocrasy and doesn't inovate, To be honest yahoo is for people who just got on the internet.
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -1/+6Being tied to Yahoo makes it to corporate. It doesn't have the democratic feel that Digg has.
- aaronsdropzone, on 10/29/2008, -1/+6I tried it, but after only a few uses it started giving me errors whenever I'd try to "buzz" something. Screw that
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -1/+6i try to avoid yahoo like the plague.
the only yahoo thing i have on my computer is inquisitor, and i have it set to use google. - biznatch11, on 10/30/2008, -0/+5ya, cause if YOU've never heard of it then it fails.
;) - Yourselves, on 10/30/2008, -0/+4Wright's not right, it's write.
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -0/+4Yawn
- frogman54, on 10/30/2008, -1/+5buzz kill. clever. if digg ever fizzles out I suppose he'll wright, "Digg, R U still digging it?'
- peterinjapan, on 10/30/2008, -0/+4Yahoo makes you log in manually every 1-2 weeks, and forbids your browser to remember your password. Hence, I do not use Yahoo.
- demizer, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3Computer says yes.
- BradBrown, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3All the stories are from normal news sources, so there really is no purpose for it - I already have Yahoo News. The only thing different is the format. I would vote it off the island.
- zspade, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3But without digg, where will we read about it?
- thealsir, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3Yeah, the really popular stuff can be lame at times, but when you look at the upcoming stuff, especially that which is recommended to you, you can find a lot of gems (many of which have a few hundred diggs or less). When filtering down from there you can find really good specific stuff.
I've found really good stuff with diggs in the single digits. - username7410, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3Buzz-kill? I don't know, but it certainly sucks.
- granolajoe, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3You might want to check in with Reddit first before making that assertion. Mixx might have a great community, but it doesn't have nowhere near the influence that Digg and Reddit have. Period.
- saadkamal, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3I am not a big fan of Yahoo Buzz...I find it redundant and useless.
- nazsco, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2developer.yahoo.com
- Charklii, on 10/30/2008, -2/+4You mean, they don't have MrBabyMan?
- rwallen, on 10/30/2008, -2/+4Mixx is a huge pile of *****.
- thealsir, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2Why is this being dugg down? It's right.
- Hetman, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2I dunno this is the first that I have heard that yahoo had a social media site.
- F9Phoenix, on 10/30/2008, -1/+3Never heard of it before either. To be fair, though, I usually avoid Yahoo like the plague.
- alvination, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2*bureaucracy

http://www.ebizmba.com/articles/social30 - onlinewoman, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2I gave up on Yahoo Buzz after it stopped allowing me to add my own content (at least I think that's the reason it kept giving me that "sorry your article cannot be accepted at this time" message? I never did figure it out). I even took the buzz button off my blog pages - what's the point? It's like they wanted everyone to support THEM, but weren't willing to support the people who use the tool. Yahoo has become very out of touch.
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2PS3 fanboy douche.
- cdawzrd, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
- keithloughnane, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2oh you, with your conformist spelling, a least i didn't spell driver with a 3 or anything, and i did use spell check
- alexanderhorre, on 10/30/2008, -0/+1This is what happens with your typical MBA.
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -1/+2exactly, if you only knew how much i am on the internet for the last 16 years or so
- StandardsDT, on 10/30/2008, -3/+4As much as I would have liked to see Yahoo Buzz do well I personally don't think it has a chance against sites like digg or even mixx. Being one of the big contributors over at mixx, there's something there that the mixx team is doing right after many said they would tank in months. They have an outstanding community, a team that gets back to you instantly and participates in the user forums which has greatly helped them and which is also why I prefer them over other sites like digg. With that said I think in the end the two top sites for social media will be digg and mixx.
- dmkemick, on 10/30/2008, -0/+1I love their "up and coming" section. The masterminds at Yahoo couldn't think of anything else? Digg's got an upcoming section, let's just slap an "and" in between that bad boy and call it a day.
- alsiddiq, on 10/30/2008, -1/+2They used to have an open forum which they stopped coz they didn't like the content that it was portraying and all the "cussing" going on with racial inuendos so yahoo.com shut it down. But they didnt understand that the posters all loved the freedom of speech. Then they came up with this stilly BUZZ thing which after you upset all the ppl who posted had eventually found other communities instead in the meantime anywayz. That's why the whole Dot+Com community hates the board members of yahoo.com. Coz they're a bunch of stupid tight-wad arrogant dumb heads who coulda sold to Microsoft at $33 bux a share but instead decided to ride themselves to $10 bux a share...and counting down!
- writer0213, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1I hear Yahoo buzz gets all these visitors but I don't get it. I've tried to get into it but can't.
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1I use Buzz along with Digg...I dont submit "high quality" stories but if one is cool and hasnt been dugg/buzzed yet, Ill submit it.
- jsilver123, on 10/30/2008, -0/+1this is how a lot of people get their news
