- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Amazing, no answers huh. I've linked to a forum because there may be more info coming on the forum. After all there was a shoutwire member on there recently making a comment like this one:

- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0to turn this toward tech, I like how shoutwire uses the Google Maps API to show where users are "shouting" from. Really stupid post though
- thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What does this have to do with technology?
- digman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DO digg, because shoutwire sucks, its just a lame copy of digg and I dont care anything that has to deal with them.
- rekrapt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hip-hop lyrics use the "N" word frequently... nobody cares. Blacks where I live (in Mississippi) refer to each other using the "N" all the time. I live in a mixed race neighborhood and asked one of my black neighbors how I was supposed to teach my children not to use that word when they can clearly hear them call each other that... he had no answer.
It isn't racist to refer to a person's race as long as the reference doesn't use a racial slur. "African-American" doesn't qualify as a racial slur... but, the rules keep changing. - MichaelAllison, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Considering that his mugshot was prominent in the article, I found that there was no need to mention the man's race at all.
Other than that, the article was lackluster, at best. Not the best writing ever. - ajninten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0shoutwire is run by warez kiddies what else can you expect from such idiocy.

We teach our kids a LOT of things that don't have an immediate answer to the question "Why".
Why would you teach your kid to believe in something you can't prove exists.. like God?
Please don't use that one incident as a cop out for teaching your kids not to use such a vulgar word.
The question you need to ask yourself is... do you really need a reason too?

http://whois-it.com - mwmw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0rekrapt, "african-american" may not be, but Negro? This isn't 1958! And I think the N word you refer to isn't Negro, either (unless you listen to some really "differen"t hip-hop).
- BUmel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You live in MS, wow small world. A race wasn't necessary in the title of the article (or any other parts). Period.
- bluemech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Why did you link to a forum moron? No digg, next time link to the article.
