- canewediggit, on 02/22/2008, -2/+10if you're going to submit your own podcast;
1. put it in podcasts
2. don't write a description that makes it seem like it's not your podcast when we can all see your profile
3. don't have 60 people on your list digg it up in an hour
4. pick a subject that isn't known for spamming digg w/ every mahalo page in existence
your friendly neighborhood bury brigade member - hevnsnt, on 02/23/2008, -0/+4Calacanis sucks.
- CasaMan, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3So copying digg and then creating a search engine spam company and call it a "Human Powered Wiki Search Site" makes you a "Ultra Creative" all of a sudden?
- spudlyo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3I have mixed feelings about Calacanis. I want to punch him when he talks about his three Mac Air laptops or his two assistants -- he often sounds like an elitist prick. On the other hand, I did hear him once on TWiT where he had a long and entertaining spiel about his time in Jersey and his "roll". He came off sounding street and hip in a blue collar kinda way. Meh.
- djsteen, on 02/22/2008, -1/+3Giddy up, JC. This Ultra Creatives series awesome!
- BaddKarma, on 02/22/2008, -1/+3I comply...
- canewediggit, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2light as a feather jdawg, my income is not directly related to my net rep. unlike others.
the knicks still suck. - canewediggit, on 02/23/2008, -0/+21- it's a podcast, this is not the podcast section.
2- just be honest, no need to write in 3rd person
3- if you want to increase awareness of your podcast, send the podcast link, not the digg link
4- i didn't say the pcast centered on mahalo, i merely stated one reason why your choice of subject was a poor one. i stand by that statement. - tringtring, on 02/23/2008, -0/+1How's Mahalo doing?
- red5standingby, on 02/23/2008, -2/+2Thanks for your perspective. My intent isn't to start a flame war by addressing your points, but:
1 - This podcast is already listed in the Digg directory; the contents of this interview have broad appeal, and fit well within this category
2 - The description, as does the contents of the podcast episode, centers on the subject of the interview, not the interviewer
3 - Asking colleagues to help increase awareness about the interview and its subject is not an unfair request
4 - The contents of the interview greatly transcend the topic of Mahalo
While we may disagree on these points, I hope you listen to the interview. It is a fascinating look at the Web business, and inspirational for those interested in launching any creative endeavor. - jdawg, on 02/23/2008, -2/+2this was a fun episode... really enjoyed it JC! I hope:
1. folks listen to it
2. it makes the homepage
3. canewediggit lightens up a little.... dude, it's just digg! ;-)
best jason - labowski, on 02/23/2008, -1/+0I comply.
