http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/ical/library/ - steveoa3d, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Hey Nice, I was unclear of how this worked in Google Calendar but I get it now....
I got the F1 Dates, very cool ! - calepeeples, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Google calendar doesn't sync with iCal, per se. You can import an existing iCal calendar file into Google Calendar... then delete (or turn off) the original iCal Calendar... then subscribe to the Google Calendar in iCal... not two-way, and not very elegant.
Hopefully it's only a matter of time until we can do two-way syncing. - sqrlproductions, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3dugg! I spent a little bit of this afternoon trying to add common holidays only to find out that some of the calendars are available in the out-of-the-box Google Calendar by expanding the "Other Calendar" plus-sign. doh!
anyways, nice collection of other calendars :) - IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is awesome man, I'll be using that FIFA '06 one. :)
- dongiaconia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3But if you have .Mac you can Publish your calendar, and then you can use Google Cal to subscribe to it, right?
- davepark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If you post your iCal to a .Mac account, I believe you can subscribe to it using Google Calendar. You can't sync it back though.
- scarper86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They said they're working on it for the future.
- dongiaconia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow, its amazing how quick and easy all this stuff works... Especially with iCal too....
Do you have to pay for .Mac to get google calendar to sync *from* iCal? or is there a free method as well? - smarusich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2very nice. good digg
- The_Decryptor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2iCal can publish to WebDAV, so if you have a folder that can be accessed from HTTP and WebDAV, iCal can publish to it and Google Calendar can read from it.
- ericab, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You beat me to the punch.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Awesome stuff, these make Google Calendar even more useful, even though they clutter up my days just a bit
- Philipp_Lenssen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Many, many of the iCalShare calendars don't work together with Google Calendar. I know, I've tried.
- TrueVox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2God YES! I'd give a dead chipmonk (or THREE!) for a 2 way sync. I hate that my iPod will only sync with stupid Outlook.
Google, RESCUE ME!!! :) - kingofthescreen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They do. You just have to click the details and it will expand with a list of the new movie releases. It will even give a link to the trailers for most of the releases.
- chesterjosiah, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Excellent. A place to BROWSE calendars instead of having to search. Seems like this is one thing Google seems to lack in. I think that's why Google Video was terrible at first. But anyway, way to go Philipp! DIGG IT.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i like the michellaneous (just butchered the english language with my spelling) calendar.... this is awesome
- cphuntington97, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So - not to be off topic but is there any kind of automatic 2 way sync for outlook yet?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome!. I like FIFA World Cup 2006.
- dlawrence, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2it does... click more details
- PayneX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd digg it if it actually had more calenders than google already offers.
- liquidarts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree, it would be nice to see the movie titles directly on the calendar rather than digging into the details. Movie releases aren't very important to me, it's just nice as something to *idly* browse through.
- Dohko_Xar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone know if there is a way to sync the Google Calendar to the iPod? That would be a w e s o m e.
- ct2000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2http://icalshare.com/ 100's there!
- spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn. Can't add calendars right now. Just times out with
"Sorry, Event Search is unavailable right now. Please try again later." - izzyb412, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanx, I found the Dallas Cowboys schedule calendar by doing that.
- cmilki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just wish there were some Cricket Calendars
- desrod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1These were all taken directly from
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/ical/library/ (even the filenames are identical). Nice try, but no. - dowski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Have a look at this: http://johnnygizmo.blogspot.com/2006/04/getcals-01-available.html
- UglyMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0CALENDARS, YAY!!! :) I LOVES ME SOME CALENDARS!!!
- mokolabs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, iCalShare has over 2,500 calendars you can use with Google Calendar.
- alky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I never considered using a calendar this way. Now the possibilities, if I could people to participate, seem overwhelming. I should try to persuade my university to put out a simple calendar like this.
- benjellos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No digg here, 30boxes is much better...and easier on the eyes.
- EatMoreCarbs42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting site. Very usefull, DIGGed!
- lostndaflow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Google Calendar rocks! Its the only online Google product I can get at work (besides search, everything else is filtered). And since I cant bring the pocket PC into work either, this will be a great way to organize my schedule. Love some of the add-ons as well.
- jaimerei, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0interesting.
- KielEWyote, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Google tries to be everything to everyone. I've gotten accustomed to Yahoo! Calendar... it's not the best thing in the world, but I use the calendar widget that came with Konfabulator (now called Yahoo! Widgets). Why do these search companies become so large and then put no effort into creative names and designs. I'll stop complaining, I have a Gmail account. LOL.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very Interesting!
- electronicmaji, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2if the movie and dvd releases actually SHOWED what movies and dvds were being released on those days it would be useful...
