http://digg.com/world_news/India_praised_for_sinki ... - RoroCo, on 11/19/2008, -1/+30So does that mean we will see Bollywood movies dominate Pirate Bay's Top 100 now?
- hydroplane, on 11/19/2008, -4/+20Great! But it begs the question: How can she slap?

- tizle, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12Christmas is a christian festival, not an American one.
Foreign students pay more fees and get no scholarships in American universities. Profits from them are used to fund scholarships for Americans, whose SAT scores are way lower than those of Indian students.
Just because the Indian middle class is doing well, doesnt mean that America will struggle. That is dumb but then again so are you.
Obama is not Bush, so if you expect him to do something about this, you're even dumber than I give you credit for.
India's middle class is doing well primarily because of the outsourcing encouraged by Bush.
And did I say that you're dumb? - kd420, on 11/20/2008, -0/+11"invading universities in the US" ?? You, or your ancestors, are immigrants too. If they are smarter, more hard working, why shouldn't they get a place over other Americans?
And if this leads to the traditional, "Real America" losing out, it is because of the Americans under achievement, not the immigrant's over achievement. - Junkey, on 11/20/2008, -0/+8No one uses BitTorrent for piracy. sheeesh
- iamamaniac, on 11/20/2008, -2/+9India has the highest growth rate of all emerging economies in the world.and Internet access is quickly affordable to all peoples.
- ortucis, on 11/20/2008, -0/+7Great, except for one little fact that unlike China, Indian government doesn't just sit on their ass when companies start complaining. They try to do as much anti-piracy bit as possible and the moment the piracy start becoming a 'really big' problem, you can expect sites getting banned/blocked and people getting sued left and right (though I doubt sueing will catch on :P).
Just saying. With great pirates comes greater policing of the tubes. - amr05h, on 11/20/2008, -1/+8why?
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+7Its piratemumbai.org you ignorant twit.

- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+6Awesome I've always liked indie games.
- drex8, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5I can see the RIAA and MPAA about to establish a permanent base there.
- acash0902, on 11/20/2008, -0/+4haha i see what you did there.
- greendigger, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4China's middle class is the strongest competition to U.S. not India. Anyways, what's wrong with other countries improving there standard of living? It doesn't have to be win/loose format!
- ortucis, on 11/20/2008, -4/+7Before some retard links to some YouTube clip with retarded dance sequence, do note that 99% of the so called 'Bollywood' clips posted there (which make headlines here) aren't Bollywood (which is north-indian market).
Those clips are from Kollywood > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kollywood
Oh and we (Bollywood viewers) think they are funny as well. :P - lebondarken, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3We all just tryin to do the best we can.
- tushyd, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3haha, I really hope your comment was ironic.

- drex8, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4I think there're more Chinese foreign students studying in American Univs than Indian students.
- thepeacemaker, on 11/20/2008, -2/+4There are quite a few reasons people get their bollywood movies from torrents:
1. Movies are 3hrs long ...with torrents you can watch the latest theater releases at home and forward the junk parts (read: usually awful song and dance numbers).
2. Bollywood movies don't really incorporate sound and visual effects. So it's not like you miss much watching Indian movies at home.
3. The guilt factor is less because the video store guys no longer rent out bollywood movies... they too make pirated dvd copies and simply sell them for $2-3 a pop.
Also Indian TV serial torrents are wildly popular in Indo-US households that do not have a dish antenna. Most popular download sites are bwtorrents.com and dctorrent.com. - TonyTheTerrible, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2first thing i thought of..
- harris2004, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3MPAA and RIAA will nto be welcomed in India. As alot of people might think the Indian culture is based on full freedom, corruption, and Hollywood pirates, who have been doing their business for generations and have enough control to scare the ***** out of MPAA and RIAA.
- digrboi, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2but with a 2 mbps connection for around $15,it can only get better..
- shadowfoxmi, on 11/20/2008, -1/+31 million subscribers out of a 1 billion population seems like a pretty ***** percentage
