- clickwir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7the preceding "i" in front of things is old and busted. Google, wise up and don't use it.
- kwelling12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5yes it is igoogle. the url is google.com/ig
- phil.busch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This is the ACTUAL thing, not a screen shot.
- grieverxiii, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@coasterfreak212 Read the dates. Most of these comments are from 2005, when this feature wasn't up and running.
Anyway, yeah there's a diff logo for the homepage now. I was just wondering about that and I stumbled over here =) - it05jb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My google logo has now changed to igoogle on my personalised home page as well .....
- Trogdor420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I login automatically when the browser starts up, no password or username required. Perhaps you have cookies disabled or something silly like that?
- buckykat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ummm... it does. mine has digg, wired, and techdirt. engadget is available. mine also has quotes, stupid stuff bush says, gmail, and a satellite tracker.
- masgrada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Haha. Yup, I just came up with this old page for a igoogle search too. And I have to agree this is pretty fruckin' stupid.
GOOGLE !! I thought you were better than this!
iGoogle ?? WTF? C'mon now. - liger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2igoogle.com
- edleob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2HA. Thanks for pointing out the dates... I was wondering just what the f everyone was talking about. Still I wonder why the name change now?
- kungfumaniac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the themes blow. Couldn't I just select a few hex numbers or something?
- Knoton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3One page to rule them all, one page to find them, one page to bring them all, and in the webcache bind them
- coasterfreak212, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What the guys hell are you guys talking about? google.com/ig has always had an rss feed reader! When you add something put the rss url instead of a search (or maybe theres an add url button, i don't remember) but i have digg, kotaku, enagdet, tech dirt, psp-hacks, and a whole bunch of other rss feeds on my homepage for easy news footage!
- vcleniuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1iGoogle, uGoogle, weGoogle... NArf !!!!
- joshuagrear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Google does have a calendar and it rocks. http://www.google.com/calendar
- AdamWillis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is neat, i Just wish it would have like pass protection on certain parts, without clearing your cookies
- jonconnelly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yep just did a search for igoogle myself since they changed the logo, seems like some other diggers also saw this pop up. Pretty damn ugly actually...
and yes the themes suck ass, if only I could just choose colors... - pseton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree, the "i" thing blows! It's awful, Google should get rid of it!
"I" think I will go back to using the unpersonalized Google homepage for the nice clean simplicity synonymous with Google's ethic and aesthetic. I would have thought that Google would be very careful before sticking something in front of their name - is this the only time they've done this? Additionally I think the "themes" addition is of poor quality. - Smoktiludy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like it.
- tpzoso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i wonder how igoogle looks on the iphone?
- h4lofourt33n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not a big fan of the idea of google becoming more than just an engine. It's systematically becoming another yahoo. But, Google still destroys all of the other engines 10 fold. *waiting for hate mail*
- gothicgeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is really cool. I have been waiting for Google to do this ever since they came out with Google News, and Gmail. Its still pretty basic right now, hopefully more features will be added. I would like to to have the ability to choose which kind of searches options to be displayed, and a more intuitive weather report, along with RSS which many others have mentioned. I also think that Google needs to make the logo a little bit smaller, and move the search box up to the top like it is when you are looking at search results. Overall though it is pretty cool, and I love the way you can reorganize the boxes.
- reaver, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is pretty cool. Looks like a personalized, less cluttered yahoo.com.
- DownloadThis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The ability to add your own RSS feeds to the site, will make it great. According to Google's usergroup, this feature is on the way.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, they have slashdot but not digg :( hopefully they'll add support for RSS feeds
- psyonide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I am now officially satisfied.
- djdigital, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.igoogle.com redirects to plain old Google still.
- engalicorn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i love it... i shall call it squishy and it shall be mine! .... however... seeing googles track record on webdeaccelerator (see it cancels out) i might wait off a bit before putting up my gmail account... oh what the hay! the fbi ctu and hls are already reading it... why should i care!
- trooperbill, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0im starting a forum for this http://www.igooglegadgetmakers.com
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@DownloadThis and psyonide
Read the help page, it says it's a feature that will be added soon, they just wanted to have a few predetermined ones to show the feature during the initial release on Labs. - Ostermayer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1does anyone have to always click sign in when they start their browser. i am using firefox and it never remebers me when i start up
- BoomWav, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Agree.. I want the "i" to go too... plz..
- Dycacian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like it, but they need to add movie listings and weather for places like Canada for my friends. Calendar would be nice, and the RSS feeds will be AWESOME. I love the drag and drop features. Google is always simple. that is why I like it.
- launchcode, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0RSS feed support was dropped in order to get it ready for yesterdays Google Factory webcast (they launched this service live in the middle of the webcast), according to the cast it'll be enabled soon - it wasn't supposed to be out until June (iGoogle that is) so they had to drop certain things.
- surindra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0igoogle sidebar is available as extension of the firefox addon:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3130
surindra - naiou1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool this lets me access my gmail account from work after gmail has been blocked by netsafe.
- white, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0plus if you adblock the google pic then you can fit even more w/o having to scroll.
- Garek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Looking good but still need a lot of work...
- 7elevin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Another Screenie at my blog: http://www.senatorzach.com/
- Scatropolis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I still think I'll stay with A9
- diggitdamost, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Yahoo been doing this for a couple of years now? It's still cool anyway.
- flickerbrain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I think the one key service Google is missing is a kickass calendar, I use yahoo's and it isn't that bad, but seeing how Gmail made everyone reconsider their inbox, google definitely has the ability to make everyone rethink calendars. If (1) they let you intellisync it for free with a PDA, like yahoo, and perhaps implemented a labeling system similar to Gmail. Right now, the only thing keeping me using yahoo is their calendar.
- cuemkid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0A greate tool, so cool.....
Article about it: http://www.onboom.com/iGoogle_Vu_khi_moi_cua_Google.html ( http://www.onboom.com ) - trvr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1is it actually called iGoogle? or are you just assuming that from the URL?
- liger, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0^ i know
- psyonide, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Pretty cool. I just wish I could add my own RSS feeds so I can get Digg on it instead of that aweful Slashdot (eww)! :p
- taglin13, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0^we know
