    I think that reader would agree with you, as do I. The emphasis on the "maybe" disturbs me, though. I think if he were on top of a young boy, I would DEFINITELY say he's a pervert.

    The I'm a Mac adverts have attempted to imprint the image of stuffy old office workers as PC users and Mac users as young and cool. M$ are seeking to counter that by showing the varied people and uses for PC's. Perception is VERY important if you are selling a product. In fact Apple would be nothing without the perception ads they run. People do not want to be thought of as boring or ordinary and don't like to buy things which are associated with the mundane. Apple sought to make that link to Windows, Microsoft is attempting to dispel that myth and as the encumbent they don't need to advertise features just improve perception.
    Plus no-one said the ads were supposed to be funny and the Mac adverts aren't exactly side-splitting.
