- SvobodaIT, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14This is really morbid.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8their family?
- Stentorian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Guess those stats you here about car accidents are pretty real. Almost everyone on there died in an automobile accident
- dstart, on 10/12/2007, -9/+14Cause of Death: "Rough Sex"
Aaaahahahaha, that can't be real. - shobbc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5On one hand its creepy as hell, but on the other it sorta puts a face and personality to all the death we see on the news and read in the papers. But after you die would you want to be remembered by your myspace...
- Edogz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Ok, this is really sad. I almost cried reading those.
It's nice that they recognize these people though, it's really interesting for a site to do such a concept...
Wow. - Kazanoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I agree, I mean, first its funny, then you realize... holy *****. these people arnt around anymore, your laughing at people, who died. and fairly recently at that
Does laughing at dead people make you feel better about yourself or something?
note: yes, I did digg this, but now, after thinking about this, I wish I didnt. - geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Maybe it was a friend or family member that logged in? What if that friend or family member put up some sort of tribute/memorial for the deceased owner? Maybe the local authorities logged into the account for whatever reason?
- greenbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4i don't thin they should be listing the cause of death and their profile picture. it's best to just show their name and time of death. finding out someones cause of death should be left to be known for the friends and family only of those people.
- kodek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I only checked one myspace, and it seemed that that particular person had passed away. I don't think all of them are fake. Have a little more respect, please.
- pegisys, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4that and being shot
the one that got me was the guy died from getting a tongue ring - Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Wow, so many Darwin Award candidates!
- Vesty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well the amount of Automobile death's isn't very surprising, but the large amount of people being shot surprised me.
- thenorwegian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5this is ***** sick. its a showcase, and these people shouldn't be showcased. the people that know them and care already know. I went to some of the pages- and the comments people are leaving are ***** sick- seriously- like with the emo girl- someone said "another emo bites the dust." thats just sick- she was 16 years old and going through something she didn't handle right and they say something that heartless. Why dont you imagine someone showcasing your close friend's "MYSPACEDEATH." I'm sure most of you would be quite pissed. to the ones that leave the sick comments- ***** you
Oh, and to the brilliant person who thought of the title "I See Dead People (on Myspace)," ***** you too - bigfranco03, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm sure that even if they recently logged in doesn't really mean they logged in. I just had a friend of mine shot on the freeway, her sister has been logging on to spread news about the funeral and such. Just because it's a person's account doesn't mean they are the ones logging on.
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3My brain hurts... What did you just say?
- Atomic1fire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2sick twisted morbid disturbing use of time
- padrebuf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3interesting, but i don't really want to exploit them by digging.
- harrisbradley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah, noteworthy
www.mydeathspace.com : Copyright © 2003 Casino Fan. - Wamzlee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I noticed that too...I wonder if their friends just created the profiles upon their death?
- Squeegee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Wonder what the ratio is on cause of death of the users. Looks like everyone was shot.
- Bonobo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3my grandmother and my beloved cat named Waffles died today..this is the last thing i need!
- rocko_stazetti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Reminds me of Snuff
- bort, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It's funny that people on digg don't know what an auto login feature is. Apparenly when they die, no one will ever be able to type in digg.com and be online.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Hmm, that is my new dream, to one day, die from rough sex. I'd be a 90 year old billionaire tycoon, and all 15 of the girls are super models trying to get on my will, doing "whatever" it takes. Hells Yeah.
- Edogz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2thenik , what are you talking about? How can you say the site is not real?
I looked at nearly every one of those people's myspace accounts and friends are saying their farewells and wishing them to RIP to those that died. ;)
-sigh-.. - Petrarch1603, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Possibly the most disturbing webpage that I have ever seen
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2All you people saying this is fake. It's not. The recent shooting in Seattle (that made national news) killed 6 kids and I knew one of them, and he/she is listed on this website. I won't say which, because I'm not comfortable doing that, but the point is, this is real.
- kodek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I agree.
- walla4u2nv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cmon guys, have a little respect, these arent fake, if they were why do MANY of them have LEGITIMATE news reports connected to them. and try to do a little exploring before denoting something so honorable and respectful as "FAKE" and "LAME"
most of these people have had friends and family members commenting on them for months, saying how much they miss them, that type of thing isnt faked.
look here to see an example
http://www.myspace.com/deacon808
honestly, some of you remind me of the people who left these comments:
http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=4746179&blogID=7776130&MyToken=2c995bb2-4e44-4384-a2de-e59b629252b0 - goat77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And the water intoxication one happened in my town. It was all over the news.
- szelij, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Some of the links on myspace had been accessed by the owners recently, some of them even have updates. The date of 'death' of these people differ by months from the date of access, so...ghosts came back to update their myspace?
I do believe some of the articles are real but it sounds fake to me. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3you could learn from that...dont drink and drive!
- imightbewrong, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3disturbing....
- NiLeS, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Right - how do they find out who died?
Edit: Ok, so there's a submission page. Still... - Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Eventually we are all going to die. Accept it and move on.
I hope my death involves maniacal laughter, spectacular explosions and the screams of dozens of innocent bystanders. Oh, and that Carson Daly *****. - artnez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I agree... with the parent post. To geoboy, something isnt right about all of that.. i can't put my finger on it, but I really can't digg this for some reason.
- geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3What? How would that be exploitation? I guess publishing obituaries is exploitation too.
- SuicideInvoice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Messed up. I don't know about most of them, but those from the Seattle shooting on Saturday are the kids that were gunned down at a party. I live about 4 blocks from that house...
- iamanalog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2thats kinda ***** up, one of my good good friends is on there, her name was nirmin, and she died in a crash :| goddamnit
- Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Disrespectful imo... no digg.
Creepy, too. - cheesy_1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It was at an after party for a rave in Seattle, which is crazy since I used to go to raves in Seattle and lived just north of where it happened.
Here's the primary message board where the community is discussing and mourning their tragic loss: http://nwtekno.org/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98954 - tafkase7en, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's funny how Digg users can't realise when something is fake or not...bort.
- evasivejay, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2this is kinda sick...
- tonage, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Actually, my uncle is a respiratory therapist. And he has seen a guy with water intoxication. He lived, but barely. Weird.
But while a few of these stories may be true, I still believe most are false. Just like more than half the other stuff on the internet. - idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The first several are all related, scroll down to see the article. There was a multiple homicide at a party.
- t3hX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Link? I can't see that entry...
- swoosh_bnd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I also reported it lame, not really special and who wants to look at dead people's myspace anyway?
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2yep. definitely creepy and sad at the same time.
- idean360, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1really creepy...
