- blindarrow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow techmasses, maybe you should stick to mad rants at the wall or something. Kindly stay out of it unless you can add something productive.
- sedition, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've heard a rumor from a pretty reliable source at a certain large Telco in Canada, that they're rolling out IPTV over their dsl services starting in Q4 this year.
- IronChef, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now if only I could lay on my couch with my desktop!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok, some folks DIDN'T read the article, you don't need your desktop in your living room, they are going to give you the SAME channels you already have on your TV, only on your computer via the internet connection.
So saying you want your comp in your living room would be redundant - sixsicsix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Aliant Telecom, in atlantic canada is already offering IPTV over DSL
- atezun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sasktel in Saskatchewan(who'da thunk it!) runs it's digital cable service completely over broadband DSL as far as i know.
- stevec5000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So you have to buy all the cable channels in addition to broadband internet? It's way too expensive if the channels are the same weak snowy analog channels as on cable! Just get a USB tv tuner!
- jumjum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I heard through the grapevine that Time Warner Cable has been bought out by Comcast. We'll see.
- techmasses, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0OMG! IPTV is us nerds revolting! THAT SUCKS THAT IPTV IS TURNING OUT LIKE PODCASTING!!! PODCASTING AND IPTV IS FOR INDIE (NOT FOR BIG COMPANYS)!
