- Lith25, on 11/15/2009, -0/+6Seems to completely defeat the purpose in my opinion. http downloads will not be as fast as torrents (unless this server has some kind of massive connection to serve thousands of people at once with 2meg/sec+ speeds).
- HeavyWave, on 11/15/2009, -0/+6It's very useful for those of us with limited upload or just ***** connections. There are few services like this. I would recommend http://furk.net/. Personally, I just use a private server for this and it's at least 50x times faster, than if I would download it straight from my computer. And hey, a server seeding at 100 mbits makes every torrenter happy!

I can paste the torrent link to utorrent without downloading it at work. DynamicDNS, port re-direction and webui = torrents control from any where I am.

- jasmus, on 11/15/2009, -0/+4I have a torrelay.com account. I use it to seed back faster than my ADSL connection allows my home PC to for private trackers that require I keep up a good ratio. Sometimes I don't even download the torrent to my PC at all, I jump on a free leach torrent and stick it on torrelay. This means I don't waste any of my home ADSL download cap (Australian internets), and my torrelay account will seed back a lot faster than my home pc can and allow me to still play TF2.
Also, sometimes I need to get something downloaded at work, and with our network blocking all torrents, I can just go to torrelay to start it off, then http it down later. - rnawky, on 11/15/2009, -0/+4It looks like they download the torrent in their servers then serve it to you via http.
