- xyphoid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Not only did I waste my time reading this article that doesn't even seem like a shopping guide, but I also wasted my time reading your pointless comment and replying to it with another pointless comment.
I fail, you fail, we all fail down. - Norweed, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15You mean. Spend more money for less real estate?
- GraceMolloy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Dual Monitors are worth every penny for the setup.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I never saw the point in two monitors, now that I have used them, I don't think I could live without em. I work in IT so I have multiple programs running at a time most of the time, with two monitors I can drag an open window over to the second monitor, and still see what I'm using as a reference.
- eplawless, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I used two 17" monitors for 6 months then switched to one 22" widescreen. I honestly like having one giant monitor better. Yes, it is less screen real estate, but I'm more efficient using it for work, and I can use all of it to play games instead of just one monitor for Half-Life 2. Just my $0.02.
- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Whoops, those are the Terms of Service. I think this FAQ should satisfy your thirst for knowledge: http://digg.com/faq
- Sky0001000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4this seems more like one big product review.. not a shopping guide...
- Dorkbot101, on 07/15/2009, -0/+3Well sir, you obviously don't have dual monitors then.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3yah, the 1916w is a great monitor for the $$
- grinin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't think anyone needs guides on how to spend money....

Oh yea, definitely impossible. - retral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Pleh, that monitor is t3h ghey. You want an Acer AL1916W. £180 of 1440x900 goodness."
Ouch, computer hardware prices over there suck worse than I thought.. that's ~350 USD.. AL1916W ABD (the ones with dvi inputs) are only 200 USD shipped here. - taxonimous, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm not sure there is a single Digg user who wouldn't know how to spend £125 ($250) better than the guys who wrote this.
And what is it with the PCWorld links with the word "seo" in the URL? Shirleyshomemishtake
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/387548 - RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You do realise that only one of those is an actual GT, right? Thank goodness they finally got someone else making one at least.
There were severe shortages a month or two back. - MiDri, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@MadMan2k -- Most games lock the cursor to the first monitor (or which ever one the openGL/directX is being drawn to in full screen)
Personally I enjoy having 2 machines I run synergy on both and it is like having duel monitors only with twice the processing power (and I can move freely between monitors even when games lock the cursor to one screen.) - yournamehere, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Bah, the Gateway 24 inch LCD is a far better monitor... faster refresh too
- 15charmaxwtf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you can't decide, just don't spend it :)
- litolist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@chedabob
Or the Dell 2005FPW with 1680x1050 resolution.
Yeah, I got a bigger ***** than you. :-P - elevatingshoes, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0Want to buy shoes for free of international shipping fee, you can visit http://www.elevatingshoes.com during Christmas shopping time !
- ergefbnd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks for the deal, but it's kind of late now.
- RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2It's too bad that finding a 7600GT in an AGP flavor is almost impossible these days.
I had no luck finding one since leadtek is the only company making them. - devfeed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sounds interesting... I've never paid so much attention to this before.
- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5Apparently when enough people click the little "Digg" icon, they cast a vote for the story, and if it gets enough votes, it moves to the front page.
Here's the instructions: http://digg.com/tos - fearofcorners, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Who says bit of a jip (gyp) in a non-sarcastic way? Who writes it in an article?
- steven401, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Who spends £125 on games for Christmas which don't even have good online multiplayer support some of them?
- MadMan2k, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Dual monitors can be annoying for gaming, you have to disable the second monitor or when you move the mouse off the screen it goes too far over and then screws you up.
I would like dual 20" LCD's for photoshop though. - freestufftimes, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3How does this make the front page?
- PleaseJustDie, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4250 bucks? I fold, too rich for my blood. Make a list that's a guide on how to spend about 12 bucks and I'll be interested.
- retral, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I just dropped 270 bucks on a 7900GS + PCI-E (SLI) Mobo to ugprade from an AGP 6800GT today (s939 - nf3 board e.e)... Another purchase I intend on making this christmas is the following:

A damn thin/sexy & full featured LCD. - chedabob, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Pleh, that monitor is t3h ghey. You want an Acer AL1916W. £180 of 1440x900 goodness.
- eplawless, on 10/12/2007, -15/+4don't get dual monitors. get one big monitor.
- adz06, on 10/12/2007, -12/+0Quite possibly the best way to spend your money this xmas.
And to think i was going to spend it on recycling goats for the poor, (stupid me eh!)
