- comcast911, on 03/16/2008, -1/+14What do you call voting on Buzz? I buzzed that story?
Branding-wise, I prefer Digg because it works as a brand (ie noun) and an action - Persondude, on 03/16/2008, -2/+12I will goto yahoo buzz if I need important stories from some big news source. If I want quality content, how-to's, motivational posters, and the occasional lolcat, I will come to digg! Long live digg!
- neocognitism, on 03/17/2008, -3/+13Yahoo should just die already.
- sockpuppets, on 03/17/2008, -0/+8I buzzed your mom, now she has a landing strip.
- sfcitybootcamp, on 03/16/2008, -2/+10My biggest Buzz complaint is that its a closed community... they open it for voting but not for news... and thats bullsh*t
- sockpuppets, on 03/17/2008, -0/+8Visit my site teabagger.com, where important issues are teabagged to the top. If they're teabagged enough they're put into the reacharound circle.
- inactive, on 03/17/2008, -2/+9Yahoo Buzz Vs. Digg...hahahahaha...dream on...
- sockpuppets, on 03/17/2008, -0/+6Not while there's successful sites out there to clone in mediocre ways. Next stop flickr video, aka youtube!
- Prombar, on 03/17/2008, -0/+6i dont think i would ever want to 'buzz' anything
- satabdi, on 03/16/2008, -2/+7Enough beat Digg.com .
- Crazyloc, on 03/17/2008, -0/+5Wow that design really hurts my eyes, Yahoo really hurts my soul, they just overload you with stuff, go back to web design 101.
- sockpuppets, on 03/17/2008, -0/+5Ctrl-C 4chan
Ctrl-V Digg - bianchi22, on 03/16/2008, -0/+4I wonder if Yahoo assumes most readers are like you and hence wont allow all publishers to submit content? interesting....
- fkr3, on 03/17/2008, -2/+5Quality content? On digg?
- motafett, on 03/17/2008, -1/+4Buried as inaccurate. I come to Digg to find stories MSM won't touch, rarely talks about, or distorts completely. Because any source can post here we are able to hear about things hours, days, or weeks ahead of other news sources. Yahoo buzz is corporate propaganda.
- inactive, on 03/17/2008, -0/+2but buzz doesn't know what xkcd is
- matthewdestroys, on 03/17/2008, -0/+2buzz up... your ass yahoo.
- GhostyBoy, on 03/17/2008, -0/+2That site looks horrible. There is yahoo spam everywhere.
Personally I think it would be sweet if all the people who actually like YahooBuzz go there, it will just improve the quality of the Digg community in my opinion. - Uchikoma, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Sounds like you're trying to hype up the game...man, you're not even being paid for it either...or are you?
- dsmx, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1I've seen video's of it in action I've yet to see something that is bad in it, there are videos out there for anyone to watch if there curious about it.
- sfcitybootcamp, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1It hurts my soul
- eyloni, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Buzz? Never heard of it!
- NeoNevermore, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1ALT-F4
- GhostyBoy, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Really? That's even worse then I thought. The reason I'm on digg in the first place is because I don't give a ***** what Yahoo (or any mainstream source) considers newsworthy.
- sfcitybootcamp, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Im dying... that was hysterical... dugg. err.... buzzed.
- VladislavIII, on 03/18/2008, -0/+0I said "mostly", not "exclusively".
- inactive, on 03/18/2008, -1/+1you are so wrong about the demographic....digg has become very diverse...it just depends on what thread your on...just check my profile..
- MyNameIsJoe, on 03/17/2008, -2/+2Digg really doesn't have to worry. The two sites are a lot different despite being built on the same concept. Buzz is better if you want to find news from main stream media sources. Otherwise, you should stick with Digg.
- VladislavIII, on 03/17/2008, -2/+2Granted Buzz is currently a POS, but they do have a market advantage. Yahoo is already a major news source. They can use a social bookmarking site not only to generate traffic in its own right, but to increase traffic to their news site. Every news article on Yahoo can contain a link to Buzz, so the two services are complimentary. The Digg community is currently a relatively narrow demographic: mostly young nerds and gamers. If Yahoo can build a broader appeal, they could end up with an exponentially larger user base.
- dsmx, on 03/17/2008, -4/+2Well "The agency" MMO coming out looks pretty good, it looks fun, it's got nice graphics and appears to not require you to sacrifice your entire life to play it. Maybe there trying to hype up this game?
