- qpingu, on 05/19/2008, -12/+340Please, the last thing we need is senile diggers. "When I was your age, Digg was..."
- spammishking, on 05/19/2008, -7/+244crap that's me. I had no idea I was responsible for killing digg. Sorry everyone..
- Stettenbauer, on 05/19/2008, -32/+255What happened to cutting edge tech and Systm type hacks (real hacks ,not just throwing the word around for diggs}?It has defiantly gotten more Jerry Springer ,and I am sick of the Obama *****.
- ElBeh, on 05/19/2008, -12/+191It's not really a problem. Just uncheck the topics you don't like in the "Customize topics" part of your profile.
- matts009, on 05/19/2008, -33/+176***** THING SUCKS!!!
- sickswaystop, on 05/19/2008, -143/+263Now where's the button for blocking all comments from members who signed after 2006 or so?
There used to be some intelligent conversation on this here space. - likeyehokwhatev, on 05/19/2008, -8/+125Tech news? All I want from my Digg are I Like Turtles and lolcatz.
- toxicityj, on 05/19/2008, -17/+123Oh I'm sorry. because you've been here longer you're better than everyone post-2006? jackass.
- elvenseven, on 05/19/2008, -20/+102I love Digg the way it is now. If you want 100% technology news go to Slashdot.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+64Get off my profile! *shakes fist*
- kanvas, on 05/19/2008, -8/+70lolcats + xkcd + astronomy pic of the day = homepage
- 80hd, on 05/19/2008, -0/+56Your saying you didn't appreciate the daily hacking guides from metacafe?
"Hack your shoes onto your feet!!!" - Ryan166, on 05/19/2008, -0/+48Quit hating on Steve. He's just a 21 year old dude. Just one of the bro's, chillaxing here on digg, creating intelligent conversations, backwards hat, and some Jack Johnson playing in the back.
- Paktu, on 05/19/2008, -4/+52For those of us who have been around a while (since 2005 for me), the problem is not the lack of tech stories per se, but the declining overall quality of stories. It's just the way things are as Digg becomes increasingly mainstream. I still like the site, but it's just not the way it used to be.
- NaziHatinChimp, on 05/19/2008, -11/+58I think digg was better when it was a small, concise community with a similar mindset that fit me. But this is the natural progression of things and it helps to step outside the box so don't be mad. It's not like Britney Spears and other stupid ***** makes the Front Page all the time so chill.
- iDiggIt42, on 05/19/2008, -5/+48I'm sure your e-penis feels huge now, doesn't it?
- diggerphelps, on 05/19/2008, -4/+46http://digg.com/settings/topics
- willy3121, on 05/19/2008, -9/+51Steve St. Germain (sickswaystop)
A 21 year-old dude from Detroit, MI (US) who joined Digg on July 6th, 2006
You're so old school. - valis, on 05/19/2008, -8/+48That's an interesting point. Things have taken quite a sophomoric turn since then.
- inactive, on 05/19/2008, -11/+48Second story in Technology section: "Stephen Colbert watches Diggnation!"
FAIL! - Branchex, on 05/19/2008, -5/+40You wanna fix Digg, allow people to only have 10 friends, then it will be more about democracy than mobocracy.
- ryanmct, on 05/19/2008, -8/+42Personally, I like that Digg is my all around news website. I mean, I could go onto Engadget for my tech news, CNN for my world news, and countless blogs for other news, but I find it nice that everything is all in one place. There are days when I'm interested in the tech department, so I head over to that section. But my bookmark leads to Digg>All News.
- darkein, on 05/19/2008, -2/+34It seems like I have beat you sir, I joined January 4th, 2006 as apposed to your July 6th, 2006.
- BlueSkyfish, on 05/19/2008, -4/+34But then I'll miss my science :(
- makkaveli19, on 05/19/2008, -0/+29Back in my day, we had to walk uphill in a snowstorn everyday to visit digg.
- acetv, on 05/19/2008, -0/+22I just wish the Tech News section didn't have at most two new stories per day...
- xt0ph3r, on 05/19/2008, -1/+22Step 1: Click: http://digg.com/settings/topics
Step 2: Uncheck categories you don't like
Step 3: Shut the ***** up.
Feel free to skip to step 3. - hikaruzero, on 05/19/2008, -3/+24PLAY OUT? I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! THERE'S NOTHING ON THE TELEPROMPTER!!
- Reaktor5, on 05/19/2008, -3/+24We're in the midst of one of the most important elections in US history, what did you expect?
But I agree that we don't need silly articles like "BREAKING: Obama prefers tea over coffee!!111". - hbeierg, on 05/19/2008, -1/+21you want to play some game cube bro?
- Tddupre, on 05/19/2008, -0/+19screen capping digg then going into paint to circle something = front page
- Managua8Green, on 05/19/2008, -7/+26You're an elitist!
- hikaruzero, on 05/19/2008, -2/+20Dugg up because, apparently, customizing topics is rocket science these days.
It's easier to complain in the comments section than to take the derivative of My Profile and square it by the factorial of Settings multiplied by the use of L'Hopital's Law of Customize Topics. - inactive, on 05/19/2008, -0/+17I"LL DO IT LIVE! I'LL WRITE IT MYSELF!
- dtrinh, on 05/19/2008, -7/+24... on that thought, what about one for members who signed on after July 5th, 2006? DIGGA PLZ, I'm getting tired of this entire "the community is dying" line. There are plenty here who are much, much more enjoyable than you are -- and they joined after you.
- synystar, on 05/19/2008, -4/+20You're profile says that you joined on September 11th, 2006. You get your first account banned or are you forgetting that we can see when you joined?
- AzureRise, on 05/19/2008, -0/+16Back in my day, we had to wade through 15 articles of show--tv stuff to get to the good stuff.
- soogy, on 05/19/2008, -0/+15Oh, boy. I remember when they first changed it. There was a mild uproar about it, and I was fairly bummed. I only come here for the amusing comments these days.
Now it's either:
JUST IN: OBAMA WINS!!! WHAT A HERO!!!
CLINTON IS A MONSTER!!!
RON PAUL IS AWESOME!!!
or MCCAIN HAD SEX WITH BUSH!!!
Really tiresome, especially for people who actually want to see real information about the upcoming election, not a ***** sucking party. - SSUK, on 05/19/2008, -0/+14Fascinating. When is that autobiography coming out?
- Sokkratez, on 05/19/2008, -0/+14It used to be about the music, man. You changed.
- InsanePenguin08, on 05/19/2008, -3/+17I don't think....
He didn't mean....
Nevermind. - NyteStarNyne, on 05/19/2008, -0/+13Back in my day WE DID IT LIVE! ***** IT
- Rodalli, on 05/19/2008, -2/+15Been here since '05. Conversation here used to be less meme-infected, perhaps, but I don't think you could ever call it "intelligent".
- jer2eydevil88, on 05/19/2008, -0/+13@synystar
I was around on this site back in 2005 but I also waited until 2006 to create an account. Does that make me a liar as well? - lardlung, on 05/19/2008, -2/+14OH NO YOU DINT JUST SAY DAT
*throws chair* - shondell, on 05/19/2008, -3/+15But i think he stopped submitting stories. And seriously, i cant believe how much drama and ***** has been going on because of Mrbabyman. Its like ***** junior high. It amazes me how much people give a ***** about how Mrbabyman's submissions are regurgitated material yet always get popular. I say those stories wouldve made digg one way or another and Mrbabyman is just always the first one on them.
- RMoore08, on 05/19/2008, -4/+16Just because there is stuff other than tech doesnt make that stuff bad. There is some great stuff that isnt tech.
- Scaryclouds, on 05/19/2008, -19/+30Minefield FTW
